I visited the white tower today, and the whole surroundings were just a beautiful place to be. There are boat rides that looked like fun.

The Arch of Triumph of Galerius is a must-see when visiting Thessaloniki. It and the nearby Rotunda (the last picture) are the few ancient Roman ruins preserved in Thessaloniki. There are many sculptures carved on the arch, as if telling the glorious history of the past. The arch is close to Hagia Sophia (Figure 4), so you can visit them together...
The arch is very beautiful, and you can see the relief of the war scene. It was built by the Roman Empire. Next to it is the very ancient church Rotunda, which seems to travel through time and space.
