The Royal Palace of Tonga is right next to the port of Nuukalofa, the capital of Tonga. It is the first building you see when the cruise ship enters the port. The palace has a red roof and white walls. It is not very big. In our impression, it looks like a big villa of a wealthy family. There are large lawns in the front and back yards of the palace. You can take pictures outside, but you can't go in. It takes about ten minutes to walk from the pier.
