The Records of the Grand Historian consists of 130 chapters, including 12 Annals, 10 Tables, 8 Books, 30 Family Histories, and 70 Biographies, totaling 526,500 characters.

Sima Qian&#39;s Tomb and Sima Qian&#39;s Temple are located on a high hill in the south of Zhichuan Town, Nanxiang, Hancheng City, Shaanxi Province. They were first built during the Yongjia period of the Western Jin Dynasty and are large in scale. The Sima Qian&#39;s Temple is divided into four levels, each of which is connected by stone steps. The stone steps are composed of large millstone-shaped stones and petrified wood-shaped stones, and they rise step by step, a total of 99 steps. There is a wooden archway in front of each platform. From bottom to top, the last one is Sima Qian&#39;s tomb. In front of the tomb, there is a stele with the words &quot;Han Taishi Gong Tomb&quot; written by Bi Yuan, the governor of Shaanxi during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. There is an ancient cypress on the tomb. There is an ancient bridge at the foot of the hill. It was restored with funds when General Yang Hucheng was in charge of Shaanxi in the 1930s. Sima Qian&#39;s Tomb can be reached by bus in Hancheng City.

Sima Qian Temple is located in the south of Hancheng City, Shaanxi Province. It was built in the fourth year of Yongjia in the Western Jin Dynasty. It has a history of more than 1,700 years. It was built to commemorate the historian, writer, and thinker Sima Qian. The square is large and the group of statues is very imposing. Parking is convenient and it is a national AAAA-level scenic spot.

In the morning, we set off for the Sima Qian Temple, the world&#39;s great man and historian. Along the way, the cool breeze blew, and the yellowing leaves dotted the deepening autumn atmosphere, which was a feeling close to pilgrimage.
Hancheng people are proud to have Sima Qian as their fellow countryman. Sima An was an outstanding historian and writer in the Western Han Dynasty of my country. He studied classics at the age of 10, and after the age of 20, he traveled to famous mountains and rivers in Jianghuai, investigated local conditions, visited the people, and listened to the stories of the past told by the elderly, preparing for his future writing of the Records of the Grand Historian. At the age of 36, his father Sima Tan followed Emperor Wu of Han to Mount Tai to offer sacrifices to the gods, and died of illness in Luoyang on the way. At the age of 38, he inherited his father&#39;s position as the Grand Historian, in charge of documents and recording historical events. At the age of 42, he began to write &quot;Records of the Grand Historian&quot;. At the age of 48, he was implicated in the Li Ling case and was castrated. After being released from prison, he became the Secretary of State. It took him 16 years to complete the historical masterpiece &quot;Records of the Grand Historian&quot;. Taishigong, with the principle of &quot;understanding the relationship between heaven and man and the changes of ancient and modern times&quot;, recorded 3,000 years of history from the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors to the Qin Emperor and Han Wudi, including twelve chronicles, thirty family histories, seventy biographies, ten tables, and eight books, totaling 130 articles and more than 526,500 words, which had a profound impact on the literature and historiography of later generations. It was praised by Mr. Lu Xun as &quot;the swan song of historians and the rhymeless &quot;Li Sao&quot;&quot;.
Similar to most of the current scenic spots, the periphery of the core scenic area of ​​Sima Qian Temple has been infinitely developed and expanded. The huge historical text carving group stands on both sides of the wide road, with the statue of Sima Qian in front, and then walking through a large green belt, finally, we came to the foot of the mountain gate.
The first plaque was written by the late great calligrapher Mr. Qi Gong, &quot;Han Taishi Sima Qian Temple Tomb&quot;. Entering the mountain gate, the Sima Ancient Road is on the face of you. It was built in the Spring and Autumn Period. After Qin unified the six kingdoms, it became the main transportation from Hancheng to Chang&#39;an. Later, because the Sima Qian Temple was built here, it was renamed Sima Ancient Road. The existing stone strips were laid during the Northern Song Dynasty. After more than 800 years of rain erosion, weathering, and people walking and rolling, the stone strips have become uneven. The clear and numerous wheel tracks on the stone strips are not only a testimony to the prosperous history here, but also seem to show the ups and downs and tragic life of Taishigong. We walked on it in sneakers and it was not stable, and we couldn&#39;t walk fast. We can imagine the difficulty of walking on this ancient road in those days.
Going up along the Sima Ancient Road, there is a fork on the right, and a wooden archway is erected, with the words: High mountains look up to. Sima Qian&#39;s virtue is as high as a mountain, and the world&#39;s admiration arises spontaneously. From then on, we began to enter the core of the Sima Qian Temple, and the temple and ancient trees on the top can be vaguely seen.
There are a total of ninety-nine steps on the stone brick path leading to the Sima Qian Temple, commonly known as the &quot;Pilgrimage Road&quot;. In 1668, Hancheng County Magistrate Zhai Shiqi led the people of Zhichuan to expand the Sima Qian Temple on a large scale, filling up the several-foot-deep ditch and building this road to the temple.
Going up the steps, there is a brick archway with the words &quot;River and Mountain Yang&quot; on it, and on both sides is a couplet: The saint illuminates the Taoism, and the history of the Han Dynasty is the classics. Comparing &quot;Historical Records&quot; with the Five Classics of Confucianism, it expresses praise for Sima Qian&#39;s outstanding contribution to historiography.
Passing the stone archway, you can see a red mountain gate. It is red with a thousand-year history, and it says: Taishi Temple. This is the Sima Qian Temple. The ancient trees in the temple are towering, all of which are 800 years old.

The forest coverage rate in Shaohua Mountain Scenic Area is super high. Take the Jingjiao car to Shimenxia, enter the hiking route, shuttle among the dense woods, listen to birds singing, watch squirrels jump, and luckily find some rare plants. This feeling of being close to nature is great.

Shaohua Mountain National Forest Park is a national AAAA-level scenic spot. It consists of five major parts: Hongya Lake Scenic Area, Qianlong Temple Scenic Area, Shimenxia Scenic Area, Milin Valley Scenic Area, and Shaohua Peak Scenic Area. The scenic area has steep peaks, magical boulders, turbulent water, colorful waterfalls, clear lakes, dense forests, rich flora and fauna resources, and the air is full of negative oxygen ions. The altitude is 530 meters to 2491 meters, and the forest coverage rate has reached 90%. The ecological environment is nearly primitive, and the scenery of each season has its own beauty.

I didn&#39;t have much hope, I just wanted to take the children out for a walk, so I didn&#39;t do any homework in the early stage. I didn&#39;t expect the scenery to be very good. There were too many people during the May Day holiday, and there were long queues, especially for the cable car! But the glass plank road is worth a visit! There are two hotels in the scenic area, of which the Shimen Hotel is newly opened and cannot be found on Ctrip! It seems to be more than 500 a day, including breakfast! It&#39;s very close from the Xi&#39;an Expressway for dozens of kilometers, which is enough for a weekend. I think I must buy tickets for the tunnel and sightseeing bus, because the ten kilometers between the two routes are definitely not possible to walk. The sightseeing bus is 25 per person, the cable car is 100 in the off-season, and 130 in the peak season. It takes about 15 minutes. The pulse-type cable car slows down three times in the middle. To be honest, the first stop scared me! You can buy tickets in advance on Ctrip, and go to the self-service machine at the visitor center to get the tickets. In the morning, you can take the cable car to the glass plank road and then go to Qianlong Temple, where there is a two-thousand-year-old ancient tree cypress and locust. Then take the cable car down to take the sightseeing bus and go to the Shimen line. There is a water area where you can take your children to play! Moreover, the scenic area is all ramps with very few steps. I like it very much. It is not tiring! It is liberating for old mothers to take their children to walk by themselves! It started to rain when I was halfway up the mountain, which was quite sad. But because of the rain, I unexpectedly saw the scenery of the mountains and fog, which was also a pleasant surprise!
