The experience was truly amazing! Each attraction was unique, the natural scenery was picturesque, and the cultural landscapes were rich in historical charm. They also did a great job managing the flow of people; I barely had to wait in line, so I was able to fully enjoy the experience.
There is a 4A scenic spot on the way to the airport. You should spend more time to visit it. There are two directions of sightseeing. Due to time constraints, I only visited Danding Lansheng and went to the highest point to overlook the Danxia landform.

I like it. Although the zoo itself is very large, it is worth the 30 yuan. I saw many cute little animals. It’s a pity that I didn’t see the desert cat and the manul. I will come again next time I have the chance.
This zoo is highly recommended. The animals are well-cared for and lively, and you can observe most of the large animals up close. I especially loved the snow leopards. I even saw a black bear roaring as it ran. In the summer, it's recommended to enter the zoo later.

After a decade, returning to the Gansu Provincial Museum's exhibition halls, the familiar weight of history was tinged with a refreshing surprise. The excitement of reunion intensified as I witnessed the transformation of the exhibition layout and exhibits. The Gansu Provincial Museum's exhibition layout is most clearly "scientific," far more than a simple display of artifacts. Focusing on "Yellow River Culture," it weaves together prehistoric civilization, Silk Road trade, and the intermingling of multiple ethnic groups into a clear thread. From the juxtaposition of painted pottery and agricultural tools from the Dadiwan site, you can directly witness the transition from slash-and-burn agriculture to pottery cooking. In the Silk Road exhibition hall, Hu merchant figurines unearthed from the Hexi Corridor, Persian silver coins, and Central Plains silk are brought together in a single narrative space, instantly capturing the vibrant commercial scene of "camel bells ringing across Europe and Asia." Even more thoughtfully, each exhibition area is accompanied by lightweight text explanations and multimedia videos, avoiding academic obscurity while also preventing history from being reduced to "picture-based object identification." Even children can follow the clues and understand the stories behind the artifacts. If the exhibition layout is the "skeleton," the exhibits are the living, breathing "flesh and blood" of Gansu's museum. Its richness lies in its collection of unique national treasures. Besides the well-known "Horse Stepping on Flying Swallow" (a bronze galloping horse), there's also China's largest "Bronze Chariot and Horse Guard of Honor," featuring 38 bronze horses, one axe cart, and four chariots neatly arranged, as if ready to carry Han Dynasty soldiers on the Silk Road. The "Human Face and Newt Painted Pottery Vase" from the Yangshao culture, with its eerie yet vibrant human face and newt motifs, is a rare relic of the spiritual world of prehistoric ancestors. Furthermore, manuscripts and Tangut Buddhist scriptures unearthed from the Dunhuang Caves quietly speak of Gansu's unique status as a treasure trove of literature. These exhibits are more than just artifacts; they are a condensed, tangible, and comprehensive history of Gansu. Compared to many museums, Gansu's uniqueness lies in its irreplaceable "regional DNA." Rather than pursuing comprehensiveness, the museum culminates in the quintessential characteristics of the "Upper Yellow River Civilization" and the "Golden Section of the Silk Road." While other museums may exhibit painted pottery, few offer the complete sequence of painted pottery from the Dadiwan, Majiayao, and Qijia cultures, allowing you to clearly see how painted pottery evolved from simplicity to sophistication. While other museums can tell the story of the Silk Road, the museum's exhibits primarily draw from local sites. From the bronze galloping horse from the Leitai Han Tomb to the statues from Bingling Temple, each piece exudes the essence of Gansu's soil, creating a sense of distance. Even more remarkable is its lack of deliberate attempts to create a sense of distance. For example, the "Bronze Galloping Horse" exhibit features multi-angle viewing platforms, allowing you to clearly see the exquisite balance of the horse's feet on the flying swallow. These details, which make national treasures approachable, are precisely what makes the museum so captivating. Ten years later, the Gansu Provincial Museum has not been confined to the "memories of the old museum," but has brought history to life with more scientific exhibition arrangements, more vibrant exhibits, and a more unique regional expression. Revisiting this place is not only a reunion with the past, but also a dialogue with a Gansu that is both "familiar and fresh," spanning millennia.
It's worth a visit, but it was so crowded I couldn't even see the bronze galloping horse. It was packed inside and outside. It's best not to go during the summer. 😂 Also, there's a shop near the entrance with Green Code and his friends, which is quite interesting and a great place to take photos. It was my first time in Lanzhou, and I found this "Yellow River Building" on the Internet. It looked very tall and there were many tourists. The view from upstairs was wide, and you could drink tea and look at the mother river, which was very exciting.
The Yellow River Tower is located in downtown Lanzhou. It's quite high, offering great views. Inside the tower are several exhibition halls, each with its own unique collection of exhibits. The paleontology and Yellow River stone exhibits are particularly interesting, offering a wealth of information.

When traveling with your dog to Norgay, you must check in at Huahu Lake. I came here by myself 11 years ago, and 11 years later I brought my dog back to see the scenery. The scenic area is pet-friendly, and puppies can also take the sightseeing bus. There are no steps along the plank road throughout the tour. There are also many service points in the scenic area, and you can replenish water in time when the weather is hot. The staff of the scenic area are also very nice.

One of the four grottoes, the history and culture are very good! It's just that the flow of people in the summer is a bit large, the conditions of the grotto itself are a bit tired (long queue time). It takes two or three hours to really visit the play.
The Maijishan Grottoes are really shocking! From afar, the solitary peak rises up, shaped like a stack of wheat. Walking into the grottoes, the Buddha statues are carved vividly, and the colors of the murals are still bright and moving after years. Every detail is full of the wisdom and hard work of ancient craftsmen. Coming here is like traveling through time and space, and having an artistic dialogue with the ancients, which is very rewarding.

There are tons of mushrooms in the area, all kinds of them. It's quite interesting. The scenery is comparable to Huanglong Lake, and there's a lake similar to Jiuzhaigou. It's just a little small, and the entire walk took about two and a half hours.
The picturesque natural landscape and vibrant colors of the calcified pools are truly a place where the gods reside! It offers all the attractions of Huanglong, and with minimal crowds. I don't think you'll regret a trip here!

The night cruise on the Yellow River was fantastic! The Zhongshan Bridge was beautifully lit, and the evening breeze was soothing. The 40-minute cruise was just right, and I recommend choosing the second deck for the fantastic views. Booking tickets on Ctrip was convenient, and the pier was easy to find. The boat crossing Zhongshan Bridge was incredibly photogenic, and the night view of Baita Mountain was magnificent. It's definitely worth the trip! The Yellow River at night takes on a whole new charm, with the lights on both sides ablaze. Enjoying the scenery while feeling the river breeze was a great value. I'll definitely come again. Sitting on the first floor wasn't cold, and the night view was very pleasant. I was able to capture photos of both Zhongshan Bridge and the Yellow River Mother Statue. I was very satisfied! The night cruise exceeded my expectations! The bridge and mountains were beautifully illuminated by the lights. There were also guides on board, and photos were free. If you'd like, take them for 30 yuan each.
It felt average. It happened to be cloudy on the day I went there, so it was a bit cold to take the boat. The boat departure time was also quite random, and I waited for quite a long time. On the way back, it stopped on the Yellow River for a long time, and no one said anything about the situation. There was no explanation or explanation throughout the whole process. I just took a round trip and had a general look.

I can only say that the scenic area is very large and driving is relatively convenient. However, since we chartered a car, we were unable to go further after a certain point, which was really disappointing. We had to take the scenic bus instead. The scenic area is well-managed, no problem, but the experience was still not good. It's a two-hour drive from Baoji City. The weather is good, ranging from cool to cold. It's a good weekend trip, but this weekend it rained and was a bit cold. The cloudy weather made it impossible to take beautiful photos. The smell of cow, horse, and sheep manure was overwhelming, which was a lifesaver.
This was my second time at Guanshan Ranch, originally for the zipline. My kids had been there a few years ago and loved it, so now that they're grown, I wanted to try it again. Unexpectedly, the equipment is closed for maintenance until 2025. We each took a set of travel photos for Guanshan. The grasslands are photogenic, especially for the kids; every one is a masterpiece. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Guanshan Grassland and the herds of cattle and horses. We found a small restaurant for lunch. It was really busy during peak season, so there was no shortage of customers, but the food was quite perfunctory. It was a bit overcast when we arrived, so the sun wasn't directly shining, but it was still very hot. We arrived at 10:40 AM and it was a cool 20 degrees.

The location is convenient, the atmosphere is warm, and the facilities are clean and comfortable. It is an ideal choice for backpackers and young travelers. It is cost-effective. The owner cleans the place very quickly and cleanly. I recommend it to everyone!
The museum has quite a large collection, with more animal specimens than the Natural Resources Museum. The display of water samples collected from all over the country is quite impressive. If you want a free visit, make a reservation at the Natural Resources Museum. If you want to visit the Natural History Museum after visiting the Tibetan Culture Museum, this is the right place, just across the street. You can explore the entire museum in one to two hours.
