I think 80% of people come here for A Chinese Odyssey. You can see countless familiar scenes from the movie here, including the most common Zixia Fairy! 😂 There are also other old street areas and some entertainment facilities, but the sun is too strong inside the attractions, so you often have to walk in the sun for a long time. I hope this can be improved.
The entire scenic area is divided into Qing City and Ming City. The attractions in Qing City are relatively concentrated, while those in Ming City are more scattered. However, there are activities such as horse riding, horse-drawn carriages, and special fitness equipment such as pony swings. Yinchuan Old Street mainly sells things. I experienced the different cultural landscapes of the desert. I went there mainly for the attractions of A Chinese Odyssey, but I found out from the guide map that many movies were shot here. It's the same location, but the shooting angles are different, and the results are completely different. It's not bad, but it's too sunny to go there in this season.

The range of activities is relatively small, so the price is not worth it. It's a bit of a rip-off. We charge 70 yuan for Dinghushan and can play in the water, but this one is just climbing. There is no good scenery to see on the route I took with my children.
It was such an interesting family mountaineering activity. After convincing the children to hike, we had a trip full of surprises and unexpected events. The rain on the mountain really came and went as it pleased. Wild goats were right beside us. I think the most interesting thing is that no one can forget the sudden heavy rain on the rope bridge and the long-lost laughter in the rain.

This attraction is incredibly conveniently located! It's right in the heart of the city, with direct subway access and a wealth of dining and shopping options nearby. It's only a five-minute walk away, so you don't have to worry about transportation. The surrounding area is quiet and safe, making it a perfect place for a family outing!
It's probably an old scenic spot, so there aren't many people. I took the wrong boat and didn't see the geese flying together. I went back and took it again. If there are any problems, they can be solved in time. It would be better if I didn't take the wrong one. Sandboarding, camel, karting and other projects are good.

The whole experience was great. We didn't hire a tour guide and were traveling independently. The show was already in the afternoon. The customer service was very considerate and called to let us know the remaining showtimes. They also arranged a free car to take us from the Terracotta Warriors to the theater entrance. After arriving at the theater, we were treated like VIPs and sat in the first row the whole time! The experience was really great hahaha
Honestly one of the best things I've done in China, arrived just before a showing after a DiDi across from the mausoleum and was the only European person there. The staff made lots of effort and had an English translation headset which meant I could follow and the show itself was excellent. It moved from different areas throughout the show in different rooms and I got escorted very kindly each time to the front by a lovely member of staff and could see really well each time. Would massively recommend!

Surprisingly good. Line B is a bit more expensive, but worth it. The boat ride lasted an extra half hour, and the Dayu Pavilion is also quite impressive. The view from the 108 Tower is incredible. It would be a shame not to visit such a beautiful scenic spot.
The Grand Canyon is well worth a visit. The museum allows children to learn more about water conservancy. The sheepskin rafting is an interesting experience. The children played for a long time in the bell and drum tower of Dayu Cultural Park. The close view of Qingtongxia Dam is still very impressive. The only drawback is that the sightseeing boat is too crowded. After wearing thick life jackets, it is almost impossible to move. The wooden chair boat on the return trip is more spacious, but you are not allowed to go on the deck for sightseeing, which really affects the experience.

This was my second time at Guanshan Ranch, originally for the zipline. My kids had been there a few years ago and loved it, so now that they're grown, I wanted to try it again. Unexpectedly, the equipment is closed for maintenance until 2025. We each took a set of travel photos for Guanshan. The grasslands are photogenic, especially for the kids; every one is a masterpiece. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Guanshan Grassland and the herds of cattle and horses. We found a small restaurant for lunch. It was really busy during peak season, so there was no shortage of customers, but the food was quite perfunctory. It was a bit overcast when we arrived, so the sun wasn't directly shining, but it was still very hot. We arrived at 10:40 AM and it was a cool 20 degrees.
The last time I went there was about ten years ago. At that time, there was only one hotel on the roadside, and there were some yurts. This time, there were red houses one after another, and there were too many hotels of various colors, and there was also a barbecue square. There was a separate place set up as an ancient tent camp. As we went along the way, we passed several places with recreational projects. Lantian Baiyun, galloping horses and herds of cattle and sheep grazing leisurely can be seen everywhere. The temperature is around 25 degrees, and it may be a bit cold at night. Recommend a good place to cool down in summer, you can bring a tent and a canopy. It is really pleasant to lie on the grass, blow the cool breeze, and look at the rolling grass.

The museum is magnificent, with both the exterior and interior meticulously maintained. Our guide, Ms. Liu Li, was incredibly wonderful! Her explanations were clear, informative, and clearly respectful of history. Ms. Liu saw that our entire family was interested in history and even explained several additional artifacts. The visit lasted two and a half hours. For someone who loves history, it's truly moving to hear such explanations at a museum like this. A perfect score is enough to express my happiness.
The Qin and Han Museum is worth a visit. I booked a small guided tour. Teacher Xiaoming's explanations were lively and engaging, and the children in the group were interactive. We learned a lot, which was fantastic. The Qin and Han Museum is quite far from downtown Xi'an; a taxi ride would take 40 to 50 minutes even during non-traffic conditions. To get back to the city, I took subway line 14, then transfer to line 2 to get to Zhonglou Station. It was quite convenient, and both lines have seats. There are cultural and creative areas and stamp collection areas on the first three floors of the museum.

A dreamlike experience nestled beneath the Helan Mountains, hidden away in Manpu Town! During my trip to Yinchuan, I headed straight for the long-awaited Manpu Town. This was my second visit! As soon as I entered the town, I was instantly engulfed by the vibrant atmosphere. Along the quaint streets, shops teemed with unique handicrafts and cultural and creative goods, leaving me spoiled for choice. As I strolled, I was captivated by a spectacular street performance. The actors' vivid portrayal instantly drew me into the story, creating a truly immersive experience! After a tiring day, the food court became my happy home. Here, you'll find a plethora of Northwest specialties, from red willow branch lamb skewers to grilled lamb offal and crispy beef patties... Every bite is authentically Northwest, a truly satisfying treat. Besides all that, the special performances here are also not to be missed! "The Lingzhou Alliance" is a grand spectacle, with actors dressed in magnificent costumes, recreating historical scenes with unwavering care. Accompanied by stirring music, it feels like traveling back through time. There's also the romantic "Phoenix Seeking the Phoenix." The moment the petals rain down, the atmosphere is absolutely stunning. I also tried the town's hot springs. There are many outdoor pools, including a red wine pool and a goji berry pool. Soaking in them melts away the fatigue of the day. After soaking in the hot springs, I went to the steam room and felt completely refreshed.
There is a large performance site inside Manpu. As soon as we entered, we watched a dance show. All the actors were there and they were quite passionate. After the show, we took photos with the NPCs. We took photos with almost everyone. Then we went inside and had various interactions to earn money, such as gambling, throwing darts, playing games, etc. My children liked it very much. They almost participated in all of them and refused to leave.

It's worth a visit, but foreigners cannot register their identity information on Ctrip because it's their passport number, not their ID number. There's no way to make a reservation and they can only buy tickets on the spot. They can't sit together with their families, which not only wastes time but also makes them pay more. It's a bad experience!
Worth a visit. Much better than Bai Lu Yuan. Very impressive. I think it's better than A Thousand Years of Love. The camel bells are also beautiful. A great place to take kids. The sun is too strong in the summer. I recommend using the sunscreen pavilion.

The Ningxia Museum tour was scheduled one day in advance. The whole tour lasted nearly three hours. The tour guide, Xiao Li, was very dedicated and the children were very happy to listen. It was interesting to have someone explain the museum. I just walked around and saw a lot of things.
The Ningxia Museum is undoubtedly a highlight of any Yinchuan itinerary. Its architecture blends Islamic and Western Xia aesthetics, its collection is exquisite, and its narrative is grand. It's well worth setting aside 2-3 hours for an in-depth exploration. Here are some key highlights and practical recommendations: ### 🌟 **Must-See Highlights** 1. **Top-Notch Cultural Relics, a Condensation of Silk Road Civilization** - **Gilded Bronze Bull** (Museum's Treasure): Unearthed from a Western Xia mausoleum in 1977, its majestic and realistic casting techniques embody the pinnacle of Western Xia art. - **Helan Mountain Rock Painting Digital Exhibition Hall**: Through interactive AR and electronic touch screens, 3,000-year-old images of the ancient sun god and hunting scenes come to life. - **Evidence of Silk Road Interactions**: Examples include the Sassanid-style glass bowl from the Northern Zhou tomb of Li Xian and the gilded silver pot with Greek stories (both permanent and special exhibitions), highlighting the cultural encounter between China and the West. 2. **Innovative Experiences, Youthful Narratives** - **Best-selling Digital Cultural Products**: For example, the digital collection "Western Xia Tombs: National Treasures Revealed" sold out immediately upon launch, blending history and technology. - **Specialized Guided Tours**: In addition to professional guided tours, during the summer, volunteer "Youth Cultural Ambassadors" offer lively and engaging tours (learning from the successful model of the Guyuan Museum). 3. **Free Admission, High Value** Admission is free (reservations required), but the museum's resources are comparable to those of paid attractions. The permanent "Colorful Sky" historical exhibition, spanning prehistory to modern times, systematically charts the evolution of Ningxia's diverse ethnic groups. ### ⚠️ **Travel Tips** - **Opening Hours**: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (clearance at 4:50 PM). Closed on Mondays. Arrive early to avoid crowds. - **Efficient Route**: Head directly to the second floor to view the gilded bronze bull and Silk Road artifacts, then proceed to the rock painting exhibition hall on the first floor. **Nearby Links**: Adjacent to the Chengtian Temple Pagoda (an ancient Western Xia structure), this area offers a combined tour. In the evening, walk to the Huaiyuan Night Market to sample local snacks. > 💎 **Summary**: From prehistoric rock paintings to the splendor of the Western Xia Dynasty, from Silk Road treasures to digital innovation—this place isn't just a repository of cultural relics; it's a 3D encyclopedia for understanding Ningxia. Free yet extraordinary, it's definitely worth adjusting your itinerary!
