I've been to Tianshan Tianchi several times and each time was excellent. Buying tickets through Ctrip was incredibly convenient, which was fantastic! Hot water is available within the scenic area, and the service was acceptable.
The parking lot is too far from the entrance; they could use a park-and-go area. The exit is too commercialized, like a maze. Terrible.
It is very convenient to buy tickets and shuttle tickets on Ctrip. You only need to swipe your ID card to enter the scenic area. The Tianshan Tianchi shuttle bus takes about 45 minutes. The introduction to the scenic area is very good, and cheerful music is played when leaving the scenic area.

Passing through the oil city of Karamay, near the Urho Devil City, we saw a vast field of oil pumps.
Beneath the Yardang landforms lie reserves of heavy black oil. How thick is this oil? In the summer, it's like sesame paste, and in the winter, it's like a rolled-up quilt.
I never imagined that even in such a geologically desolate Devil City, lashed by rain and driven by winds reaching force 10 to 12, such precious black oil resources could be found.
How should I put it? It's just average.
Not as good as the Danxia landforms in Zhangye.
This Xinjiang area is huge and empty. It feels a bit boring.
Not many tourists, not many activities. Food is not cheap.

Who's actually protecting Koktogay? This view and service are only a little over a hundred yuan, a steal, right?
And rather than calling it Koktogay, you're actually looking at the Irtysh River Grand Canyon. The expanse is quite deep, and the final point accessible to tourists is only 30 kilometers from the national border. The scenery is breathtaking.
