🌊 [Gulangyu, poetry, and dreams trapped in time] People who have been to 100 times say: It's beautiful like a painting; people who only go once say: But so. Gulangyu, one of China's most famous islands, World Heritage Site, Xiamen's cover, countless people's "sea garden". But today, I don't want to just say "small fresh", "literary fan", "piano island"... I want to take you to tear the filter, see if this island is worth it. ✅ [Gulangyu's "beauty" is really beautiful] 1. The building is a living history book of the World Buildings, which can be called the "open-air museum": Gothic churches, Nanyang wind villas, southern Anhui red brick buildings, colonial corridors... Walking on Fujian Road, Lujiao Road, Sanming Road, as if crossing to the 19th century Far East overseas Chinese township. 📌 Recommended punch card: - Organ Museum (formerly British Consulate) - Catholic Church (white twin towers, like fairy tales) - Yuanzhuang Garden (Tibet Sea into the park, Qiaotiangong) - Sunlight Rock (top to see the whole island + Xiamen coastline) 2. Literary atmosphere, still online - meet the sound of pianos around the corner, there are really hundreds of pianos on the island - niche bookstore: Xiaoxuetang, Wormhole Bookstore, book collection + sea view double kill - handmade shop, cafe, independent gallery, suitable for slow stroll 3. The romance of the sea and the island is irreplaceable - Baicheng Beach is small, but the golden sea is beautiful to suffocate at sunset - The reflection of the night lights at the leading pier, like Miyazaki animation - Walking the seaside trail behind Hong Kong, listening to the waves, blowing, daze, healing power MAX ❌ [Gulangyu's "pain" is also really painful] 1. Serious commercialization, literature and art are "sold out" - 80% of the shops are souvenirs, milk tea, sausage, pearl milk tea - "net red" store name, the name is more interesting than the product - many old villas have been changed to restaurants/homestays, and the cultural sense is diluted by consumption 2. Crowded, like the "sea vegetable market" - weekends/holidays, Sunlight Rock, Longtou Road is difficult to walk - want to take a no-man's stone road? Before 6 am! - ferry queues for 1 hour, return is more difficult to grab tickets 3. High prices, low cost performance, a bowl of sand tea noodles 25 yuan, ordinary milk tea 20 yuan, an ordinary homestay 800+ yuan/night (doubled on holidays)
This is a favorite attraction on the Gulangyu Island trip. After arriving on the island at night, we walked all the way. There was no transportation. There were sightseeing buses during the day, but they only stopped at the starting point and did not stop in the middle. The scenery on the island was very beautiful and I couldn't help but linger. I really liked the Twelve Caves, Sunlight Rock, and the Zheng Chenggong statue. It would have been nice to stay for two more days without rushing or rushing. It was very comfortable and away from the hustle and bustle.

Xiamen Botanical Garden has mature tourist facilities and a cost-effective electric car service. You can go up and down at each station for ten yuan. The mountain elevator runs in both directions. The rainforest and succulent areas are very distinctive, and the mountain and sea scenery is unforgettable.
It's super awesome. It was the right choice as the first stop in Xiamen. I avoided the peak travel and entered the park after 3:30 pm. Basically, people were almost gone. I took a bus to several favorite attractions and walked around slowly by myself. The scenery was particularly good. I found a young man to take a few photos. It was cheap at this time, and I could take my time to choose the photos. I took the last bus down the mountain and ended the trip perfectly.

The Bell and Drum Cableway is amazing! From high above, you can take in the stunning scenery of Xiamen, with its azure sea, lush greenery, and even the city. The ride is smooth and comfortable, with fantastic views. The entire ride takes about 40 minutes, and it's a great value, perfect for a date or family outing. The staff are attentive, and safety measures are in place. It's definitely a romantic experience you must try when visiting Xiamen! Highly recommended! 🌿🌊🚡
Yes, the Zhonggu Cableway has been open for a long time. It was my first time riding it, and the scenery is truly stunning. If you're traveling with two people, you'll need a private room, either with children or a girlfriend. If you're traveling alone, you'll need a private room... It's so frustrating for single people. But I went with a group. I wouldn't have come here if I were single.

The beauty of Pingtan Island is a rhapsody unleashed by the Creator. Stretching along 408 kilometers of coastline, the basalt canyons of Xianrenjing (Fairy Well) appear to have been carved by a giant axe. At low tide, stepping into the 47-meter-deep well, waves crashing against the black reef stir up thousands of snowdrifts. The slanting morning light feels like stepping into the secret realms of Iceland. Sunsets at Changjiangao are a visual wonder: a 3,000-acre array of windmills is reflected on the mirror-like beach. When the tide recedes, pink-blue shells scatter like stardust. At night, "blue tears" sparkle with the waves, like diamonds scattered on deep blue silk. Even more remarkable is the preservation of the character of a pristine fishing island. The clifftop road of the northern ecological corridor connects the colorful stone houses of Baisheng Village. Fishermen's nets hanging out to dry tremble in the wind, and the salty sea breeze carries an untamed wildness. For nine years, Pingtan has strived to balance development and conservation, anchored by an international style and youthful fashion. Smart tourism systems are already bearing fruit: Longwangtou Beach features real-time visitor flow monitoring, automatic flushing pools, and smart public toilets, significantly enhancing the visitor experience. The integration of culture and tourism is also a highlight: the Keqiutou Site Museum condenses 7,000 years of Austronesian civilization into an immersive exhibition; the "Planet Calling" Seaview Theater in Tannan Bay uses light and shadow to recreate the spectacle of the Blue Tears, bringing culture from the academic realm to the masses. However, over-commercialization is encroaching on some corners: the ancient architectural complex of Haitan Ancient City has been reduced to a cookie-cutter Yiwu small commodity market, and the throngs of people jostling for photo spots at the "Eye of the Strait" observation deck on Houyan Island often leave travelers feeling a sense of loss. Pingtan's ambitions extend beyond being a popular online destination. Events such as the International Kiteboarding Festival and the F4 Racing Carnival ignite excitement along the coast. Sailing activities at Pier 22 allow visitors to transition from simply "watching the sea" to "playing in it," signaling its progress toward becoming a full-time vacation destination. However, shortcomings remain: the public transportation network is weak, and the infrequent island-wide bus service forces tourists to rely on expensive chartered vehicles. Some homestays advertised as "sea view rooms" are actually located in remote villages, making the bumpy dirt roads a heart-wrenching journey home late at night. By strengthening ecological protection (for example, limiting commercial development along the northern corridor) and cultivating its unique cultural heritage (for example, reviving the intangible cultural heritage of rattan shield exercises), this "island closest to Taiwan" can truly become the Hawaii of the East. Pingtan is a gem sculpted by sea and wind—it boasts some of China's finest coastal scenery and stunning starry nights, yet it continues to vacillate between extensive development and sophisticated operations. If restrained craftsmanship replaces the short-sighted pursuit of traffic, it will surely shine as the brightest pearl of the Strait.
The stone house in Beigang Village saw the most beautiful road on the sea windmill field. The canyon of Xianrenjing was punched in the sunset of Yangtze River Australia. The seafood in Pingtan was really beautiful. There were many beautiful scenery.

Bamboo rafting is highly recommended. The raft floats on the stream, and the passengers swim in the river. The explanations provided by the raftsmen are quite interesting, though I initially expected them to be mechanical. They are quite humorous, and beyond explaining the sights, they offer engaging conversation. The scenery of Wuyi Mountain is truly breathtaking, and animal lovers should pay close attention; they will be delighted to discover them. However, we urge you not to limit your appreciation for animals and nature to our own ways. If you stumble upon an animal, please do not disturb it, let alone attempt to capture it. It won't survive if it leaves its natural habitat and returns with you. Simply enjoy the scenery from a distance.
Overall, the scenery is okay. Problem 1: When I asked the staff questions, they didn't know the answer. I got off the bus at Wuyi Palace and asked a red vest where to get to this attraction. The red vest said there was no attraction, only a transfer. Problem 2: The signage in the scenic area is very simple, and many are incorrect. Following the "exit" sign leads to a dead end. There aren't many attractions to visit. I've encountered this three times... I climbed over 1,000 meters up the mountain, only to find a dead end and have to turn back. Are you being too Korean? Problem 3: Water in the scenic area is quite expensive. Water from vending machines in areas accessible by car costs over 10 yuan, so try to bring plenty of water. Pros 1: Public transportation outside the Wuyishan scenic area is free... By comparison, I prefer Mount Tai. Hopefully, this can be improved.

I like the ancient banyan trees, the earthen buildings, the mountains and rivers here, and the people here are very friendly. The only thing I don’t like here is the business. The villagers come out to set up their own stalls, which is too monotonous! It lacks fun!
It's okay, it's just an ancient town, the lights are okay at night, and you can set off fireworks on the river. It's about 800 meters from Yunshuiyao Ancient Town to Huaiyuan Tower. Because the weather was too hot, we went out at night. After purchasing the ticket, you can enter and exit unlimitedly within 2 days. Overall, this trip is okay!

The scenery of Hulishan Fort is very beautiful, and you can also learn about the history of the bombardment of Kinmen and the past resistance against foreign enemies. The overall feeling after the tour is very good, the sea view is very beautiful, and you can see some of the islands of Kinmen, which is impressive.
The attraction isn't very large, but it's worth a visit for those interested in history. Several viewpoints offer distant views of the Twin Towers and the Kinmen Islands. Getting on and off is easy, whether by bus or taxi.

The mountains and rivers are beautiful, the spirit is abundant, and the mascots are very cute. However, the stone steps are too wild, and climbing is very tiring. It is easy to sprain your ankle. You must be very careful. It is recommended to build a cable car.
Qingyuan Mountain is a national 5A scenic spot. The attractions in the scenic area are all worth visiting. There are not only natural scenery that is amazing and ingenious, but also temples with a long history and cultural heritage, carvings of memorial pagodas, cliff carvings, etc., which also give us a deeper understanding of Quanzhou, a maritime trade center during the Song and Yuan dynasties.

The Cape Beach Camp on Nan'ao Island is worth a visit. The following is its highlights: - Beautiful natural scenery: The beach where the camp is located is quiet, the sand is delicate and soft, and the sea is crystal clear. The camp is facing the Moon Bay to the east. Sometimes you can see blue tears. In the evening, you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sun sinking into the sea and the sunset staining the sky. In the morning, it is suitable for watching the sunrise and the romantic atmosphere is full. - Rich entertainment facilities: The camp has a beach swing area, indoor camping area, lawn camping area, etc., and is also equipped with KTV, projection screen, outdoor bonfire and other facilities. Beach volleyball, Frisbee, sea-catching activities, suitable for company team building, private customization, marriage proposal, birthday party, Family gatherings and other activities. - Featured catering services: camping barbecue service, 188 yuan per person, rich dishes, seafood and meat such as abalone, salmon, beef stew, fresh shrimp, fresh ingredients, and barbecue with the sea breeze at the beach, very pleasant. - Strong island style: There are colored fishing boats parked at the pier around the camp, and there are fish dried by fishermen on the shore. You can take a photo of the "fishing village life" and feel the authentic island style. In addition, there are also check-in points such as the "❤️ South Australia" word wall and the giant "Tropic of Cancer" word wall nearby. The only Tropic of Cancer sign tower in China built on the island is not far away. It is suitable for taking children with science and geography knowledge while playing and taking pictures.
Shitan Temple on Nan'ao Island is worth a visit. It has the following highlights: - Deep historical and cultural heritage: Shitan Temple was founded in Guangxu-Four years (1878), founded by Wu Zhonghe, a student of Longao in the late Qing Dynasty, and has been renovated many times. It was rated as a "model religious activity place" in 2008, and was rated as a standard monastery in 2011. We have witnessed the historical changes of South Australia Island. - Unique architectural style: the architecture in the temple is different from the general Buddhist temple in Chaoshan area. The main hall of the Grand Xiongbao is a quadrangle palace, red pillars, red walls, yellow tiles. There is no common Maitreya monk and Weituo statue in the gate hall, but a sitting statue of Guanyin on all sides. The image of the people in the west of King Kong surrounds the Bodhisattva. The gate hall is also juxtaposed with 18 Buddha statues, giving people a sense of intimacy. - Beautiful natural landscape: Shitan Temple is high above the hillside, and the blue Qian'ao Bay is next to it. The sea, mountains, stones and springs are integrated, forming a magnificent natural painting. The temple is surrounded by rocks, lush trees, winding paths, in the temple can listen to the cicadas and birds, feel the Sanskrit around the ear, enjoy the beauty of tranquility and nature. - Red Cultural Site: Dolomite behind Shitan Temple is the former site established by the first Communist Group in Nan'ao County. The Baiyun Rock is engraved by the Nan'ao County People's Government as an immovable cultural relics protection unit, which has both historical and cultural value and red educational significance. - Great photo seat: Shitan Temple is a niche photo spot. You can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Qian'ao Bay at the platform in front of the temple. You can also see the Qian'ao Bay Lighthouse. The elongated focus can be taken with the lighthouse. It is very popular for any shot.

The earth buildings are scattered throughout a village. It is recommended to stay overnight. The night view is quite beautiful. I personally recommend hiring a tour guide, or just taking a quick look. Many residents still live in the earth buildings, which are very lively.
The Chengqi Tower, the king of earthen buildings, boasts a stunning architecture. Its massive 73-meter diameter and over 400 rooms, a structure of circles within circles, a circle within a circle, exemplifies the masterful architectural skills of the ancients. Its rich cultural heritage allows visitors to experience the Hakka people's dedication to traditional virtues. The scenic beauty of Chengqi Tower, nestled between mountains and water, is surrounded by dozens of large and small earthen buildings, both round and square. The area boasts comprehensive amenities and a restaurant. However, the area is heavily commercialized, with some of the local guides being indigenous, who offer less than professional explanations and high ticket prices.
