The day's itinerary was very fulfilling. The scenery of Huaqing Palace was beautiful, the explanation of the Dandelion tour guide was lively and interesting, and the lunch was very delicious and filling. The afternoon's trip to the Terracotta Warriors was tiring but spectacular. It was a very happy trip.
We first visited Lishan Garden and then the Terracotta Warriors. The rain had just ended that day, and the mountain air was cool and slightly misty, which was quite beautiful. You could walk, but since we wanted to spend more time listening to the Terracotta Warriors explanations, we bought tickets for an electric shuttle bus. The shuttle bus picks up and drops off at each exhibition hall, which was very convenient. The shuttle bus from Lishan Garden to the Terracotta Warriors isn't recommended; the line is open-air, crowded, and the service is infrequent. We hired a guide from the Terracotta Warriors Cultural and Tourism Bureau, located at the counter to the left of the entrance to Pit 1. Groups are grouped in groups of 10. The guide was patient and detailed, sharing stories about the archaeological team—a great educational resource. Despite the crowds, the temperature inside the pavilions was manageable. I heard the air conditioning and fans were only installed this year. As the saying goes, arriving early is worse than arriving late. The tour lasted about two hours and was very enjoyable. There's also a 50th Anniversary Memorial Hall, where you can get up close and personal with the Terracotta Warriors and see the differences before and after restoration. It would be great if the road from Lishan Garden to the Terracotta Warriors could be widened or more strictly controlled.

Our tour guide, Xiao Bing, is a man of rich professional knowledge. He can give a detailed introduction to the excavation time, artistic style, and historical changes of the grottoes. He can also explain the carving techniques of the Buddha statues in the caves and the historical stories behind them clearly. He also prepares restored pictures and other auxiliary explanations, allowing us to have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the Longmen Grottoes.
The tour guide, Xiao Bing, was incredibly vivid and moving, his explanations moving through history like a series of moving pictures. Seeing the historical relics inspires a desire to serve the country! The Longmen Grottoes are worth a visit again and again.

The ticket price is a bit expensive. A family of three went up from the west to the north and back to the north for just over 1,000. There are more stairs when going up from the west to the north. Although I didn't think it was that serious at the time, my calves were very sore after a day. There are more stairs when going up from the north to the west.
Mount Huashan is beautiful, a must-see. I took my 12-year-old son to check in on all five peaks, a 7-hour hike. Challenging Mount Huashan isn't just about conquering the mountain, it's about conquering your own fears and limits! 🏔💪"

The large-scale live-action performance of "The Song of Everlasting Sorrow" was truly breathtaking! Set in the authentic setting of the Huaqing Palace, the lighting, water curtains, and stage design created a stunning visual experience. Every scene showcased the meticulous attention to detail and high standards of the theater team. The overall performance is well worth seeing and is a must-see for any Xi'an visitor!
It tells the love story of Yang Guifei and Emperor Minghuang of Tang. The stage effects are excellent, combined with the light show of the mountain, which makes people's eyes shine again and again. It has a stage effect of the fusion of water and fire. The actors have superb dancing skills and are very professional.

There are too many shops in the scenic area, and they all look the same. Although commercialization is understandable, the lack of good management really affects the visitor experience. In addition, there are too many sightseeing buses, which constantly rush pedestrians.
This is my second time in Pingyao, and it's a place I've been to and want to visit again. What really captivated me about the ancient city is that it not only has many historical and cultural attractions, but also a number of creative shops and restaurants. These attractions are all very close together, so there's plenty to see and do, and you can walk everywhere—very convenient!

Step on the thousand-year-old ancient building of Jin Temple and see the three wonders that embody the charm of Tang and Song Dynasties. It is said that if you don’t visit Jin Temple, you have wasted your trip to Taiyuan. In the morning light of Taiyuan, there is a three-dimensional history book that has lived for 1,500 years. Welcome to Jin Temple Museum. There is a Zhou cypress tree that was planted three thousand years ago and is still full of vitality. Touch this 3,000-year-old Zhou cypress, and branches like dragon claws grow out of its wounds. This is the most shocking dialogue between nature and heaven. There is the inscription "Inscription and Preface of Jin Temple" left by Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty in the Tang Dynasty. As the only authentic running script of Li Shimin handed down, it is very precious; there is the "Holy Mother Hall", the largest and earliest existing Song Dynasty wooden structure in the country, left by the Song Dynasty. With the wonderful layout of the front corridor and the rear hall, it has rewritten the Chinese architectural style. Look at this golden dragon pillar, circling here for 900 years. And there's the 1,500-year-old ancient version of the Skywalk: the Fish Pond Flying Bridge, where 21 carved stone pillars support a 34-square-meter fairy bridge. How did Northern Song Dynasty craftsmen manipulate water through a lotus base? The answer lies in the intricate mortise and tenon joints. The Jin Dynasty left behind the "Xian Hall," China's only ancient building combining a hall and pavilion. The Yuan Dynasty left behind the "Main Hall of the Tang Shuyu Temple," a showcase of its timber construction techniques. The Ming Dynasty left behind the "Shuijingtai," a stage showcasing ancient ritual and music culture. And the Qing Dynasty left behind the "Wenchang Pavilion," a Confucian sacrificial structure. Spanning 3,000 years, each dynasty has left behind precious treasures. The Jin Temple is unique in China.
It ranks first among provincial museums, with rich exhibits, most of which are authentic, not imitations. The temporary exhibitions on the first floor also have wonderful projects from time to time. When I left, I bought a travel tea cup in the cultural and creative store. It is very unique and well made.

Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River is divided into Shanxi and Shaanxi two scenic spots. It is on the east and west sides of Hukou Waterfall. I went to the scenic spot of Shaanxi three years ago. In May and August this year, I went to the scenic spot on the Shanxi side. Hukou Waterfall is a special waterfall caused by the changes of the Yellow River, more than 400 meters wide of the river, to the Hukou only 30-50 meters wide, and the gap of about 30 meters, forming a waterfall, like a giant pot, the water of the Yellow River, so called the pot mouth. Hukou waterfall is extremely spectacular, rapids, splashing foam forming smoke, and sonic earthquakes for several miles. When I went in May, the Yellow River water was clear, and the water in August was yellow. The "clear waterfall" and "yellow waterfall" were different due to the time to watch, and there was a completely different. Of course, by the comparison of photos, it can be seen that the water flow of the "clear waterfall" is much less than the "yellow waterfall". Tickets for both scenic spots on both sides of the Straits are 90 yuan, and you have to reach the viewing attractions through Jingjiao Car. The Jingjiao Car in Shanxi is closer, and the Jingjiao Car in Shaanxi is farther away. Looking at the Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River is to see the waterfall, droplets, and the waterfalls formed by the wide and narrow bands of the Yellow River. The shock brought by the water mist, this shock is given by nature through the Yellow River, it is worth seeing.
There was a bit of a traffic jam entering the scenic area. My elderly companion, over 60, had to go to the ticket window to buy a ticket for the scenic area shuttle bus. While they could have gotten free admission, there was no link to buy tickets, so they had to queue at the visitor center, which was inconvenient. The restrooms in the scenic area could be improved. The waterfall is spectacular, and I came here just to witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of the Mother River. Though the journey was long, it was worth it, taking the train first and then the bus.

It's definitely worth a visit! Amazing! If you drive, park at P2 and walk about 15 minutes to the entrance. The freshly squeezed pear juice is amazing, only 10 yuan a cup, a great price!
It's a very small scenic area. I finished the tour in less than an hour. I didn't walk much and was not tired. The hanging sculptures were really beautiful and shocking. There were a lot of people. The service in the scenic area was worrying. The weather was also hot and the queues were very annoying.

The Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River is located in the Yellow River bed of the Qin-Jin Grand Canyon. To the east of the waterfall lies the Linfen area of Shanxi Province, and to the west lies Yichuan County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. The Shaanxi section of Hukou Waterfall is approximately 35 kilometers east of Yichuan County, Yan'an City. Due to the heavy sediment carried by the Yellow River, this waterfall boasts a rare golden color. As the Yellow River roars through the Qin-Jin Gorge, its width abruptly narrows from over 400 meters to 50 meters, pouring into a 30-meter stone trough. Its shape, resembling a teapot pouring water, earns it the name Hukou Waterfall. Here, the Yellow River is gathered by the canyon, converging into a single stream, roaring down and plunging into a deep pool, creating a magnificent spectacle. Observing from the riverside, one cannot help but be struck by the awe. This spot is hailed as the "national spirit," the "Soul of the Yellow River," and a symbol of the Chinese nation's courageous spirit.
During peak tourist season, crowds are incredibly high. I recommend buying tickets online a day in advance for a 5 yuan discount. There are many restaurants near the scenic area, and parking is free. The Yellow River carp is delicious, but the price is quite high.

It was my first time to see the Shanxi Courtyard, and I was quite shocked. I heard from the tour guide some interesting stories about why the Qiao Family Courtyard is so famous and why the ticket is the most expensive in the courtyard.
The Qiao Family Compound isn't as grand and majestic as the Wang Family Compound 🏘️, but its sophistication is truly top-notch! More than just a museum of architectural decoration 🏛️, it's a living textbook on Shanxi merchant culture 📚~ 🌟Must-see highlights: 1️⃣ Intricately crafted brick, wood, and stone carvings 2️⃣ A complex of family courtyards that bear witness to the Qiao family's history 3️⃣ A comprehensive display of ancient commercial culture 4️⃣ The filming location for Zhang Yimou's "Raise the Red Lantern"
