The natural landscape was not particularly outstanding originally, but after humanistic planning and design, it has become quite outstanding. Especially when the mist is thick, it really feels like "the mountain is not famous for its immortality, but for its height"!
The experience at Shenxianju is very good. It is a painless climb. There is a sightseeing bus shuttle from the parking lot to the gate of the scenic spot for three yuan per person. It is not tiring to enter and exit the south gate. You can take the cable car + escalator directly up the mountain. There are some steps, but it is not tiring. The scenery on the mountain is beautiful and layered. The management of the scenic area is also good. If you have any questions, the management staff can also respond very patiently, which makes tourists feel warm ❤️

[Pingtan Island: The Closest "Blue Tears" Wonderland to Taiwan, a Flavorful Journey Across Mountains and Seas] If you were to compile a list of Fujian's islands, Pingtan Island would undoubtedly earn its place as "special." Not only is it the closest mainland island to Taiwan (just 68 nautical miles), it's also a hidden gem that blends magical nature, quaint fishing villages, and a burgeoning artistic atmosphere. The following is a detailed review based on four aspects: scenery, experiences, food, and practical advice: --- 🌊 1. Natural Wonders: Dreamy Blue Tears and Windmill Sea Blue Tears (April-August only) is Pingtan's signature wonder. At night, the waves glow a faint blue, resembling stars falling into the sea. This is actually a bioluminescent phenomenon produced by the accumulation of Noctiluca scintillans. Beigang Village, Tannan Bay, and Changjiangao are the best spots to observe the tears. While watching for them requires careful attention to tides and weather forecasts, and luck is crucial, if you do happen to see them, it's an unforgettable romantic experience. The windmill fields offer a visual feast during the day. The giant white windmills on Changjiangao Beach and the northern ecological corridor spin in the wind, creating a striking scene against the azure sea and black reefs, giving every shot a cinematic feel. --- 🏘 2. Cultural Customs: Stone Villages and Slow Island Life Pingtan's traditional villages are centered around "stone houses"—gray-brown granite houses dotted between the mountains and the sea, their roofs pressed with stone for windproofing, a quaint and durable aesthetic. Recommended: · Beigang Village: A cluster of stone houses, renovated through artistic means, featuring homestays, cafes, and cultural and creative workshops, perfect for a short stay while enjoying the ocean view; · Maotoukan: A secluded village hidden in a mountain valley, offering panoramic views of the bay from atop a hill; · Dongxiang Island (filming location for "Where Are We Going, Dad?"): Reachable by boat, this village retains its original fishing village atmosphere and is perfect for adventure lovers. --- 🦞 3. Dining Experience: Seafood Extravaganza and Authentic Snacks · Seasonal Seafood: Mantis shrimp (mantis shrimp), swimming crab, clams, and sturgeon rice are freshly caught and cooked. Recommended options include street food stalls in the county town or home kitchens in fishing villages. Blanching or steaming brings out the freshness and sweetness. · Specialty Snacks: · Fortune (Salty Rice): Soft and glutinous on the outside, with a filling of seaweed, seafood, and pork, for a savory and fragrant bite; · Forever: Deep-fried sweet dumplings with peanut and sesame filling, crispy on the outside and runny on the inside; · Eight Treasures Fried Cake: Potato flour and seafood stir-fried for a chewy and smooth texture. · Recommended Locations: Night markets around Haitan East Road in the county town and Longfengtou Beach. --- 📌 IV. Practical Tips: 1. Transportation: Driving from Fuzhou to Pingtan takes about 1.5 hours (the cross-sea bridge is now open). It's recommended to rent an electric car (¥80-100/day) for flexible travel within the island. 2. Accommodation: For convenience, choose the county seat (near Longfengtou); for a more artistic experience, choose the stone-built B&B in Beigang Village. 3. Itinerary: 2-3 days is ideal, with Day 1 covering the northern route (Beigang to Changjiangao to the Ecological Corridor) and Day 2 covering the southern route (Tanan Bay to Houyan Island). 4. Note: Sun and wind protection is recommended in summer (strong sea breezes), while the temperature swings are significant in winter. Blue Tears require nighttime observation, so traveling with companions is recommended. --- Summary: Pingtan Island's charm lies in its "interweaving of wildness and art"—it boasts untouched sea erosion wonders, wild and...
Family, Pingtan Island truly embodies island romance! If you're looking to watch the sunrise, Dragon King Head is the place to go. Watching the sun slowly rise from the horizon early in the morning on the beach is a truly breathtaking sight. Many people set up tents on the beach, creating a truly captivating atmosphere. There are also cultural and creative shops nearby, selling postcards and other souvenirs that are truly memorable and worth buying. Don't miss Houyan Island, too. It's the closest point in mainland China to Taiwan, and admission is 35 yuan per person. There are tons of photo spots on the island, and any photo is truly stunning. It takes about two hours to explore, making it perfect for photography enthusiasts. If you prefer a lively and atmospheric beach, Tannan Bay is a great choice. While it's a bit crowded, it has an open-air cafe and a tatami area. It's a relaxing evening spot to enjoy a drink with friends and soak in the sea breeze. For a quieter, less crowded beach, Yuehai Bay is a less popular beach in Pingtan, with fine, white sand, stunningly blue water, and few people. There's even a swing on the beach, perfect for photos, capturing a refreshing and soothing feeling. Beigang Village boasts Pingtan's most typical traditional stone houses. The village is filled with the charm of everyday life and is a charming little fishing village, though it's now becoming more commercialized. A must-see is the scenic Ring Road, which circles the island, facing the ocean, offering panoramic views along the way. It's a pleasant drive or bike ride. Dalian Island, known as the "Little Santorini of Fujian," boasts breathtaking scenery and is perfect for wedding photos. Every corner is photogenic. However, the area is relatively small, so exploring it in about half an hour is enough. Tickets to Xianrenjing (Immortal Well) cost 21 yuan per person. There are two paths: the upper path leads to the observation deck and Xianrenjing, offering panoramic views of the ocean. The lower path leads to the gorge, where the black reefs exude a unique, austere beauty. Jingsha's black sand beach, also known as "Little Iceland," boasts a unique texture of sand and reef. However, be aware of the high tide times here, as there are sea cockroaches on the rocks. If you're particularly afraid, you can skip this attraction. Xianshui Village is a truly dreamy village, clean and full of life. It feels like stepping into a Hayao Miyazaki anime world. However, there's a 10 yuan fee for taking photos on the village swings. Changjiang'ao, home to a vast sea of windmills, is Pingtan's best sunset viewing spot. Watching the sun slowly sink between the windmills and the sea is incredibly romantic. You can also go fishing here, so if you've never tried it before, give it a try and experience the joy of catching fish. It's truly fun. Beibu Gulf is perfect for photography enthusiasts, with its windmill highway and glass plank road, offering stunning photo opportunities. However, parking can be difficult in the afternoon, so arrive early to secure a good spot. Heping Village, with its fairytale-like town and road leading to the sea, has a truly cinematic feel. You can also witness the romantic sunset glow, making it a perfect place for a leisurely stroll and soaking up the tranquility and beauty of the town. Pingtan Island's attractions are divided into the South Route (approximately one day) and the North Route (approximately two days). On Day 1, you can visit Longwangtou, 68 Nautical Mile Scenic Area (Houyan Island), Tannan Bay or Yuehai Bay; on Day 2, visit Xianrenjing Scenic Area and Beigang Village.

Our 1-on-1 tour guide, Xiao Liu, was fantastic. He provided explanations, guided us through activities and meals, and was very attentive and professional. We also got to experience a more in-depth tour of Hengdian, where we got to experience filming and chasing celebrities. It was a truly unforgettable experience.
Lilac Hotel: Five-star rating. We were given a huge twin room with a large bathroom and a wide variety of breakfast options. Highly recommended. Along the River During the Qingming Festival: Five-star rating. The NPC interactions and fireworks display were excellent, and the filming was very interesting. The Palace of the King of Qin is a good film, and the Ming and Qing Dynasty Palaces are also quite good. Suitable for fans of Empresses in the Palace.

On September 16, 2025, I woke up at 3:45 AM to watch the sunrise 🌅. There were many other tourists who shared the same sentiment... Waiting for the sunrise, I was filled with excitement. Everywhere was breathtaking, and every second was a photo opportunity. Words can't express it; you have to be there to experience it.
I saw the stunning combination of terraced rice fields and sunrise in Lishui! Since arriving in Lishui, as a Zhejiang native, I've visited all the major cities in the province! Lishui's natural scenery is truly unique in Zhejiang! I stayed overnight in Qixingdun and watched the sunrise from the viewing platform at around 5:00 the next day. It was absolutely stunning! The light filtered through the cracks in the mountains! So romantic! After the sunrise, I went back to sleep and then drove down to the Jiuqu Yunhuan scenic area to see the terraced rice fields! I didn't finish the walk, but after taking in the panoramic view, I walked back out. It took about 40 minutes. Then we continued down to Kenggen Stone Village, a unique ancient village.

It was so beautiful. The rain didn't affect the evening show. The night tour ticket was only 80 yuan, which was a good deal! There are NPC games in the park where you can play games to earn money. It's very interesting. The service is also very good and the price is not expensive (for example, grilled sausage is 6 yuan). There is also a fire pot show.
I saw this hotel recommended on Xiaohongshu. It's much cheaper than the ones in the scenic area. The hotel is also new and super clean. It's very close to the scenic area! The owner will pick us up and drop us off there! It's really great! He even makes breakfast for us in the morning! Highly recommended! It's not in the middle of nowhere! It's inside a villa complex with rows of B&Bs! You enter the rooms with a card! Overall, highly recommended!

The owner and his wife were very welcoming. They picked us up at the pier. The ground floor was stocked with fruit, peanuts grown by the owner, and mints—very thoughtful. The B&B has an elevator and is very clean. The breakfast was very hearty, with small, farm-raised eggs—amazing! I left my phone watch behind, and the owner immediately sent it to me. I had a wonderful trip to Meizhou Island. Thank you very much!
The location is amazing! It's a 3-minute walk to the beach. The kids love it here. It's a very beautiful island. The B&B is clean and hygienic. WiFi, hot water, and air conditioning are OK. This is enough. The room is very cost-effective. One room can accommodate two people in a standard room.

The Nine-Bend Bamboo Rafting and the Flower-Scented Walk at Tianyou Peak and Rock Valley are must-sees, offering breathtaking scenery. The bamboo rafts sail along the Nine-Bend, embodying the poetic sentiment of "a boat sailing on the azure waves, a person swimming in a painting." Ascending Tianyou Peak (3-hour round trip), the scenery changes with each step. The majestic peaks, carved like ghosts, offer breathtaking views overlooking the Nine-Bend. Descending the back mountain, the towering cliffs are truly breathtaking. The Flower-Scented Walkway (2.5 hours round trip) starting at Water Curtain Cave and ending at Dahongpao feels like stepping into the Wizard of Oz. The towering Tianjia Terrace, the impenetrable Liuxiang Gorge, and the Yingzui Rocks, further inside, feel like entering a secluded forest. The scenic shuttle bus is very standardized, with dispatchers and guides at every stop, making it very reliable. The bus from the city's North Station to the core scenic area entrance is free throughout the entire scenic area, allowing passengers to board and hop on at any stop. The free bus service to the core area entrance is very convenient, and once inside the scenic area, the scenic shuttle bus connects seamlessly. Traveled with my parents and bought a two-day ticket. The trip was perfect!
主要是讲解,一个人20元,如果没有讲解,一路漂过也索然无味,尽量趁凉快的时间去,晴天时筏子上基本不会进水,鞋不会湿。

Lishui Ancient Weir Painting Village is a poetic paradise lost in time. A dreamlike blend of natural beauty and folk culture, this place boasts both naturally stunning and majestic waterside scenery, perfect for both photography and sketching. This pet-friendly attraction welcomes pets even on the boats, making it a great choice for those traveling with pets. Drivers can navigate to the entrance of the No. 1 Art District. The spring waters of the Oujiang River dabble in light clouds, while the weirs envelop the misty waves, capturing a timeless feeling. The mossy traces of the ancient streets reflect the past, while the camphor-shaded paintings speak of the new weather. The swaying sails shatter the shadows of the peaks, while the graceful dance of bamboos casts down its essence. The warm afterglow emanates a poetic atmosphere, leaving one lost in the painting. Along the ancient riverside streets, figures can often be seen setting up their sketchpads, creating their works. Numerous art schools have chosen this area as a sketching base, earning it the nickname "Painting Village." The Tongji Weir, a thousand-year-old water conservancy project, is a must-see. The Oujiang River, like a magical blade, divides the scenic area into two. The "Ancient Weir" is Yantou Village on the north bank, while the "Painting Village" refers to Dagangtou Town, where the town government is located on the south bank. Here, one can experience the unique artistic conception of "a boat sailing on the blue waves, a person swimming in a painting."
It's just okay. I went to see a dam which was quite spectacular. The other scenery is generally not worth a second visit. The water in the dam is yellow and sandy, which is not very nice. The weather is good with blue sky and white clouds. I just walked around and took a look, took in the air. It's not suitable for sightseeing in hot weather because it will make you very hot.

A great place for families, with three shows. The puppeteers performed with great care, and the children were engrossed. At the end, the puppeteers gave a teaching session, and the audience could try to control the puppets. The rooftop view at night is beautiful, and you can check it out.
It just so happens that the B&B is in West Street, not far away, so I took my children to experience the characteristics. The puppet show was very interesting, and I arranged an experience for the children. There was also a lucky draw at the end, which was generally good.

🟤Guanxi Cave: Asia's only natural rock cave concert hall, featuring traditional Chinese music performances daily at 10:00 AM and 2:30 PM, delivering immersive surround sound without the need for electronic equipment. Inside, the cave also boasts attractions such as the Guinness-certified "Dongtian Treasure Bowl" (2.12 meters in diameter) and a suspended well. 🔴Shuiyun Cave: China's first cave-style stone culture museum, showcasing quarrying tools, stone carvings, and other artifacts, as well as offering rafting on a 600-meter underground river (ticket price: 20 yuan). 🟣‌Shuangmen Grottoes: A sacred site of Taoist culture, featuring the entire text of the Tao Te Ching carved into the cliff face. On foggy days, the cavernous caverns create a fairyland-like atmosphere shrouded in mist. 🔵‌Panda Pavilion: Visitors can admire the Olympic panda "Huanhuan." The panda is most active during the 10:30 AM feeding time, making it a great place for parent-child interaction. 🟢‌ Baxianyan Scenic Area: With its religious and cultural themes, the 60-meter-long stone carving of the character "和" (harmony) symbolizes Confucianism. The Lingxiaodong Adventure Trail offers stunning views of stalactites. ⭕ Changyu Cave is truly magnificent and truly admirable for the wisdom of the ancients. [ThumbsUp] Even in the scorching summer heat, the cave remains remarkably cool. Unlike karst caves, it's open, less humid, and requires no lighting. ‼️ The scenic area is vast, with scattered attractions. If needed, take a sightseeing bus (20 yuan per person) that connects several major attractions. 🅿️ Parking at the entrance: 10 yuan.
The caves are quite interesting, especially Shuiyun Cave and Guanxi Cave. You can also see giant pandas. You can see different views in one trip. It is worth going. The ticket is a bit expensive. Each attraction has its own ticket. You can also buy a combined ticket. The combined ticket is 112 yuan, which is a bit expensive. You have to add 20 yuan for the sightseeing bus fee. The planning and supporting facilities of the entire scenic area are a bit chaotic and feel not well managed.
