This trip to Shangrao was at the invitation of my guest and comrade-in-arms, and I was very satisfied. Our first stop was Yushan County, where we stayed at Mutao Homestay. I called beforehand, and the arrangements were excellent. Our second stop was Wangxiangu. Before setting off, I spent a lot of time looking at homestays—over 1000 in total! Finally, I chose Wangxi Xiaozhu Homestay. The price wasn't too high or too low; coming from Hangzhou, I wasn't worried about spending a few dozen yuan more, as long as I had a good time. I chose it primarily because of its excellent cleanliness and its poetic name! When we arrived, the owner drove us there. The homestays here are all self-built houses, all the same. The owner's service was superb; he offered to pick us up and drop us off at the scenic area. I even joked with him, asking what if he couldn't manage during peak season? He probably couldn't during peak season; the roads are narrow and traffic jams are a real hassle. The homestay is near a small river, very quiet, which was another reason I chose it. If it were closer to the road, it would be too noisy in the mornings. Here, I felt at home. The owner's parents were very kind and down-to-earth, making us water and offering us sunflower seeds—it felt like home. Secondly, the hygiene and bedding were excellent. The cleaning was meticulous, and the bedding was very comfortable. The pillows were the perfect height. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and the toilet even had a built-in heater. They provided dry-cleaned towels as well as disposable face and shower towel sets. Finally, I want to say that I also run a guesthouse in Hangzhou. The service industry is tough; you have to serve every guest, and sometimes you'll encounter unreasonable people who deliberately cause trouble. But I believe everyone is equal. The owner of this guesthouse is a wonderful person. As someone in the same industry, and as a retired soldier, I think everything this guesthouse has done deserves respect. Chinese people don't cheat Chinese people. I will recommend the owner to other guests in Hangzhou and wish him continued success in his business.
