It's a rare opportunity to visit Universal Studios. September 20th marked the park's fourth anniversary, and the park was packed. The Harry Potter area was the most popular, and they even had limited capacity. Many rides had long lines, and 90-minute waits were common. The rides were more thrilling than those at Shanghai Disneyland, which were relatively mild.
This is Universal Studios Beijing, a place I've long dreamed of. I finally got to check in today 😆 Honestly, I went for the Decepticon roller coaster 🎢, which has received 5-star reviews online, to experience the most desperate way to die. It didn't disappoint. The thrilling ride was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It launches at 140 km/h in 3 seconds, with you soaring ahead, your soul chasing you. At first, I threatened to do it three times in a row, but after just one ride, my legs were shaking. But it's okay, there are still many people who don't dare to take the plunge. They say the bravest ones enjoy the world first, and I'm brave enough [strong]! I went to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Jurassic World, Minions Land, and the Transformers Land. I even met Megatron, took a photo with Shrek, and had some Minions cultural ice cream. The 500 yuan ticket 🎫 was totally worth it!

The Forbidden City is truly worth it! Our guide, Miss Nie Qian, is incredibly beautiful and her explanations are incredibly interesting. She told us all kinds of historical stories that felt like jokes, not boring at all. This trip was both educational and enjoyable. Highly recommended!
During our visit to the Forbidden City, Xiucai praised our guide, Nie Qian, for her beauty, professionalism, and humor. Her explanations were clear and insightful, ranging from the Forbidden City's overall layout and the "front court and rear bedrooms" arrangement to the meaning of the Chinese characters on the plaques of the Hall of Supreme Harmony and the stories of each ancient tree in the Imperial Garden. She seamlessly woven historical context into our narrative, allowing us to not only appreciate the grandeur of the architecture but also understand its cultural significance. She also proactively pointed out ideal photo spots to avoid crowds and provide good angles. It was a truly wonderful experience!

This is a fantastic attraction. The scenic area provides a clear explanation of the formation of the Wannian Ice Cave. Furthermore, unlike other ice caves around the world, you have to enter the cave to explore it. The cave is well-preserved, and the lighting makes it even more captivating. The only downside is that the scenic area allows dogs to enter the cave.
The sculptures within the grottoes are exquisite and well worth a visit. Caves 1 to 20 are worth visiting as long as they're open; they're all exquisite. There's no need to visit caves 20 and beyond; there's basically nothing to see. Cave 20 is a picture postcard of the Yungang Grottoes. After taking a photo from the front, you can queue up on the platform to the left to take photos. The queue here takes about half an hour on weekdays, and it's very sunny with no shade. The whole process takes about four or five hours without rushing, but if you're quick, you can probably get out in about three hours. Arrive at the main station a little after 7:00 AM and take bus No. 3. It takes about half an hour to get outside the scenic area. There's no traffic. The visitor center offers free luggage storage and drinking water. The caves are very empty at noon on weekdays, but they tend to be crowded in the morning and afternoon when there are many tour groups. Personally, I think you don't need to take an electric car when entering. Enter the gate, pass through Lifo Avenue, cross Lingyan Temple, and you will reach the first grotto. The electric car also stops here. If you are short on time when returning, take an electric car. It costs 10 yuan one way. If you have enough time, you can walk back along the grottoes like me. Because there were few people at noon, I visited the key grottoes again. When you walk to Lingyan Temple, just walk from the side of Lingyan Temple to the gate. Be careful not to walk to the ticket gate. The exit is on the right side of the ticket gate. You must go out from the right in advance. There is a commercial street over there. Everyone knows that you must pass through here to go out of each scenic spot.

A landmark Beijing destination: Prince Gong's Mansion. The overall environment is quite good, and it's recommended for those who like historical sites. The free museum inside the park allows you to learn about the past owners and history of Prince Gong's Mansion, and there is also a goldfish exhibition to visit.
I've always heard that Prince Gong's Mansion is huge and rich, but I was a little disappointed when I finally saw it today. First of all, it was a bit messy because of the crowds. The organization of the attractions was not very good. Many places were either under repair or rented out as shops. There was even a wedding dress shop. I was really speechless 😓

The Temple of Heaven, located on Beijing's central axis, is a place of prayer, boasting the best-preserved and most exquisite architecture of the Temples of Heaven, Earth, Sun, and Moon. The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is a landmark of Beijing and even China. The park's vast expanse offers a breathtaking, quaint charm year-round, and its various buildings embody the pinnacle of ancient Chinese prayer. The park boasts verdant pines, cypresses, unusual rocks, and unique trees, while the magnificent illuminations of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests are a true classic. The park offers affordable admission, with discounts for students and seniors. Located in the heart of the city, the park is easily accessible by subway and public transportation.
The Temple of Heaven is a complex of imperial religious Confucian buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for a good harvest. It's "a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design which simply and graphically illustrates a cosmogony of great importance for the evolution of one of the world's great civilizations..."It's a beautiful place. It's an excellent place for meditation as well.

The beauty of the Summer Palace is inexhaustible. If Beijingers use the Summer Palace as their back garden or their home garden, it will always be a topic of conversation for them. The Summer Palace is the most important gift that Empress Dowager Cixi left to future generations. It is recommended that everyone who comes to Beijing should visit the Summer Palace.
Fortunately, we chose the manual tour, which greatly enhanced the viewing experience. I must praise the tour guide Sun. He spoke fluently, had a good rhythm, and had a wide range of knowledge. He was very knowledgeable and well-informed. The whole trip was very smooth and comfortable. I will definitely ask him to come again next time. Of course, if the logo flag can be replaced, for example, to make it more conspicuous, it will be even more perfect.

In terms of scenery, this tower is truly stunning. As for the story, it's definitely worth finding a guide to listen carefully and see the story carefully; otherwise, it's hard to understand why this tower is so famous. The parking lot is spacious, and even during May Day, you can still get a tour guide. Although the line to enter the tower looked long, it didn't take long, and the inside is worth seeing.
The night view is wonderful. The view of the wooden pagoda from the fountain in the Qi Garden is stunning, a blend of movement and stillness. The pagoda boasts numerous plaques, including one from the Jin Dynasty. Entering through the circular doorway, you can photograph the entrance where Liang Sicheng measured the height of the pagoda's finial. Entering the first floor, besides the main Buddha with a beard, you'll also see six mural Buddhas on either side, each with its own graceful postures. The walls on both sides of the inner and outer gates are covered in murals depicting donors, guardian deities, and the precious flowers on the Buddha's robes—a variety of beautiful designs. The plaque "Eternal Town of Jincheng" holds profound meaning. Jincheng was the ancient name for Ying County. Legend has it that when King Li Keyong of Jin was born, a golden phoenix flew out of a well, giving rise to the name Jinfengcheng.

The amazing ancient buildings built on the mountain and the stunning red ancestral temples on the cliffs represent the ancient wisdom. There are no other problems except for the large crowds. You need to queue up and the number of people is limited, so you need to prepare in advance.
Good experience to climb up to the hanging temple, but the queue was too long. We waited almost 2 hours to climb up.

I visited Mutianyu Great Wall this weekend before the traffic restrictions for the Sunday marathon. The autumn scenery was stunning, and the shuttle bus and cable car entrances were convenient, allowing you to swipe your ID card. It skipped the hassle of buying and collecting tickets on site, and you could just swipe your ID card. The cable car shuttle to and from the Haohan Slope, at Beacon Tower 20, was quite essential, as it was quite demanding on foot, and it was much easier with the shuttle bus. Mutianyu Great Wall is truly stunning in autumn, making it a perfect place for a sightseeing trip.
I highly recommend getting there early. I went on Sept 19th and was there around 8am. I was able to get some photos without anyone else in them. But by 9am that was almost impossible, and by 10 large crowds including school groups arrived. The bus is a lot cheaper, but doesn't get you there as early as I wanted so I took a taxi from Tian'anmen Square area. It took about an hour to get there, and about 2 hrs to get back by taxi, leaving around 11am. There is Burger King and other shops open early that offer coffee, fruit, and other breakfast items. Be prepared for lots of steps/stairs, especially very steep stairs, short stairs, and steep inclines.
