The first national museum of fine arts, it is also the museum with the richest collection of Russian art in the world. It is located at 4 Engineering Street in St. Petersburg and is one of the must-see attractions in St. Petersburg. Designed by architect Rossi and built for Tsar Paul I's Crown Prince Mikhail, the building itself is a masterpiece of Russian neoclassical architecture in the early 19th century.
