The hotel is one of the oldest hotels nearest to the pyramids. It's one minute walking distance to pyramids main entry. As an old infrastructure they tried to renovate at their best but however there may have lacking ie. Lights functioning, lock system etc. But I recommend all for their wholehearted support and generosity towards their guests. They are all the way helpful. You can also book transportation from them, I believe that will reduce your troubles outside with taxi negotiations.

Really nice! All the hotel staff are very friendly to guests. As long as you ask for something, they will really help you solve it. I didn't get a mobile phone card when I came here, and the hotel staff took me to get one. It was really warm. (The last picture is not taken at the hotel, but at the Pyramids scenic area. Everyone who comes to Egypt to drive should be careful and avoid Cairo's rush hour. There are no zebra crossings here, and the only place you can walk is the sidewalk)

I just checked out and immediately rushed to write this review – this hotel is absolutely amazing! I booked it hoping for a taste of home, and it far exceeded my expectations. As soon as I arrived at the front desk, I heard familiar Chinese voices, which instantly melted away the fatigue of a long journey. Check-in was incredibly smooth, making me feel like I was back home in China. The room design perfectly blended Egyptian charm with Chinese comfort. The bedding was soft and clean, completely suited to Chinese sleeping habits. The most convenient feature was the direct access to power outlets – no more searching for travel adapters! The breakfast was the most stunning part: You Tiao (fried dough sticks), soy milk, Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), steamed dumplings, potstickers – all authentic and delicious, truly satisfying my Chinese palate. After such a hearty breakfast, I was ready to explore all day without issues. The hotel's location is also super convenient, with the Pyramids and museum right in sight; you can practically experience them from your room. The service was thoughtful, meticulous, and wonderfully patient. Finding such a 'warm harbor' in a foreign land, where I could both ease my homesickness and easily plan my itinerary, was incredible. The value for money is outstanding, and the overall experience was simply fantastic. I've already added this place to my favorites and will definitely choose it again on my next trip to Egypt! I sincerely recommend it to anyone who needs a great place to stay~

This hotel truly surpassed my expectations. Its location is excellent, just 50 meters downstairs from the entrance to the Giza Pyramids complex. Compared to the many shabby accommodations in the vicinity, it stood out as the only clean, well-kept, and rather upscale-looking hotel. It's exceptionally clean and tidy, the staff provides excellent service, and the rooms are comfortable, on par with standards expected of a good mid-range hotel chain. Our pyramid-view room offered direct views of the pyramids right from the window. The rooftop restaurant also boasts stunning, direct views of the Giza Pyramids. Breakfast was quite extensive; although predominantly Western fare, the roasted eggplant was particularly delicious. It's almost flawless. If I had to mention a minor point, the rooftop restaurant is quite expensive, with many dishes priced around 70-80 RMB. Luckily, more affordable dining options like KFC and Pizza Hut are conveniently located nearby.

Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely wonderful! Lush greenery right beneath the pyramids—the ambiance, service, security, dining, gym, room service... everything was excellent. The hotel can arrange transportation to the pyramids, and after breakfast, you walk straight into a direct view of the Great Pyramid of Giza, going against the flow of the crowds entering from the main gate. This was fantastic for the hot weather! The hotel's rich history goes without saying; the palace where the Cairo Conference was held is currently undergoing renovations, but you can see the exterior. The staff are highly professional, incredibly warm, and attentive when answering questions. We even stumbled upon a beautiful wedding! Everything was just superb! The pyramids are definitely worth seeing, but the Marriott Mena House, with its pyramid views, is even more worth the visit.

We spent wonderful time at Hayat Hotel and Giza. All stuff of the hotel are so amazing and friendly, especially Mohamed, Semir and Ahmed on reception who were exceptional. They were really putting so much effort in taking care of us and making sure we have everything we needed in the hotel and our tour trips around the Giza and Cairo. Muhamed gave as a warm and friendly welcome, surving us fresh friut juices that were a real refreshment and we really needed it after we got scammed on the airport. We fell in love with the view from the roof top of the hotel, which has the best possition and the best view you can get in Giza, with all the Pyramids and Sphinx like on the palm of your hand. As we seen this view and friendly stuff of the hotel we decided to stay longer in Hayat Hotel. So Mohamed extended our stay in the hotel for 3 more days with the same amount we payed over tour operator and got us better room with a view. He also gave us new Egyptian sim card with mobile data. Hotel offered us great tours around Cairo and Alexandria, and we had excellent time seeing all the beautiful ancient places and learned a lot new things about this marvelous and mysterious place of Egyptian culture. With our tour guides, Hala and Ibrahim, and driver Atif, who are all wonderful people and were doing their best to make our stay in Egypt unforgetable, we spent 4 days in sightseeing. The food in hotel is great, very tasty, for a free breakfast you'll get many choices of traditional Egyptian, Mediteranian, continental and vegetarian kitchen, with coffee and tea, and fresh served fruits. It is a real life-time experince to eat your morning breakfast and drink your coffee at the footstep of the Sphinx and pyramids which energy is felt strongly. Sabir and all waiters and weitresses were nice and helpful in their service. We got lunch or dinner for free everyday, since it's in the tour package when you book the trip tour with the hotel. It was a great and lovely expeirence, we enjoyed a lot in Hayat hotel and if we plan trip to Cairo again we would for sure come here again. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

This hotel surprised me because the interior of the hotel from the lobby to the rooms to the restaurant and terrace on the top floor is clean, new and modern, and the price is not expensive. There are really not many hotels in Egypt that can do this! I think the breakfast is pretty good. The terrace on the top floor has a beautiful view, overlooking the pyramids and the sunset, which is very impressive. There are regular sockets in the room so you don’t need to bring an adapter and there are a lot of sockets. This is definitely a plus when traveling abroad! And I don’t recommend the pyramid view room, because there are many stables on the block outside the window of the room on the side of the pyramid... The smell is hard to describe. Just go to the top floor terrace to see the pyramid. Another thing I don't like very much is that I stayed in the hotel for three days, and I renewed it on Ctrip on the third day. I told the front desk staff, but they would call to remind me at 10 a.m. every day for the next two days. I checked out... It's hard to comment... Apparently they don't seem to have a shortage of housing...

It is super close to the east gate of the pyramid, 2 minutes, and the window is the pyramid and the Sphinx. Although it is the hotel environment, it is a great scenery. It is not too good to watch the pyramid light show on the rooftop of the building, saving the tickets to go in.

The hotel's location is right by the Nile, which is great for enjoying river views during breakfast. Other than that, the location doesn't really offer any advantages. **Hygiene**: This is where I have to complain. The chairs and table on the balcony were covered in dust, and the carpet had a slight, localized foot odor (which I noticed when I squatted down to pack my luggage). **Facilities**: Quite old-fashioned, like those outdated 4- or 5-star hotels in China from ten years ago. There were no toothbrushes or combs. Also, no disposable bath bags for the bathtub, and the hairdryer was really poor. **Service**: Thankfully, the service was warm and attentive. Overall, I paid a four-figure price for an old 5-star hotel that felt more like a guesthouse in terms of amenities. It didn't feel worth the price; for a bit less, I could have just booked a guesthouse with character, or for a bit more, I could have stayed at a much better hotel. Oh, and the pool-facing room was noisy if you didn't close the door, as it faced the road.

Next to the pyramid, you can clearly see the pyramid, and there is a pyramid light show at night. The hotel needs to bring its own slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste. Facilities: Older. Hygiene: The hotel's hygiene is still decent, and it's just outside the hotel door. Environment: Mainly for the pyramid, because it is a bit noisy next to the scenic spot. Service: I didn't ask for any additional services, the general requirements will be met, the hotel's breakfast is not many, eat enough, recommend fried eggs, to tell the waiter.

GGuest UserI had a very lovely stay in room 303 where I could see the pyramids right from my window. Room is bright and clean, but it is the service that really stood out. The staff went above annd beyond and even gave me a ride when I had trouble finding a taxi. Breakfast on the rooftop was fantastic with the view and it was so big that I had to skip lunch. Highly recommend and thank you everyone at Maria who gave me a warm welcome to Egypt. Forgot to say, it’s a 10-min walk to the pyramids. The only improvement I would suggest is the water pressure in shower.

GGuest UserHotel is new and looks great. It’s out of the way from downtown which makes it more peaceful. We stayed a few nights, breakfast and the pool amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. However a few things to point out that I was going to but needs to be said. No privacy as workers working most of day outside of room so the window and curtains had to be closed or creepy men looking at you. Door connected to another room and not good sound proofing or insulation, can here everything other people are doing. Bed sheets had some blue dye stains on them the first night which was unwelcoming. Lastly, we decided to check out one night before, going to pay for mini bar things. The menu is priced in local money and not in dollars and doesn’t have VAT included, also a mini bar service charge is charged for the house keeper to refill which is hilarious at best as you pay for the room. That should include her to top up the fridge just as she would top up towels. Water isn’t free only a big bottle and not the small bottles so be careful. They don’t explain that clearly. So, once I saw my bill I tried to talk with front of house about it. He treated me like and ***** and said I need to pay in USA dollar and I said then why have a menu in your local currency. He couldn’t give me a good answer and just said all hotels do it. Then he started to laugh and tell me this is little USA money and so on and laugh again. I ended up paying my bill just to get out of the hotel as his attitude was poor and almost sarcastic. I paid then he said I’m welcome back be he will give compensation. I said well you wouldn’t help me swap a day to later in the week to return as early check out before so am good. Overall, we left the hotel in a poor mood and not acceptable. I’ve worked and work for these hotels and that is just poor. That was the biggest let down unfortunately.

ZZia SThis was such a lovely place, it was clean, newly created and the staff were all so helpful. The view was amazing, both in the room and rooftop, you can wake up, use the loo or shower and the view of this ancient site will be visible through the window, a beautiful experience. (I chose the pyramid view room) The rooftop was lovely, the view was immaculate, you can see the city around and the view of the pyramids with lights at night, you can see the sunrise and sunset, and the moon cycle too. The staff are always at your service, they often check in on you, unless you want to be alone and they treat you with respect and kindness. I met the managers of the hotel too, who were so welcoming, they offered me tea, good conversation and were overall good genuine people. The room was comfortable, I was alone but had the choice of two beds, you can see the view from the bed, the room was very clean, you are provided with everything you need, and if you don't have it you can ask. The room was also temperature regulated with Aircon above the bed, and a remote to control the speed and temperature, much needed in the Egyptian weather. Overall the experience was great and I met other people who were staying in the hotel who said good things, which is always good to know when you are alone, staying somewhere new. Although odd, the hotel being close to the highway was great for getting taxis, bikes and crossing over to walk into the city and town. When you are in your room, and the windows are closed, you rarely hear anything, beside light sounds, it doesn't disturb my sleep at all. The staff were great, the owners were great, the location was great and it was a good experience which I recommend.

AAkkarpanLocation, location, location! Mohammed and Mustafa and staff are lovely and the best thing about this is location. Also, AC is great and hot water in shower, all really good things. Splurge and get the balcony, because if you get the $15 room, it’s an inside room - read everything carefully. But the balcony gives you breakfast with the pyramids. A couple of doors over there is heaven‘s lounge which you can get beer and alcohol at which is lovely to spend the evenings at with wine under the pyramids. You will get nothing of that here. I do have a bit of a bone to pick with trip.com because they didn’t do their research as there is no restaurant, there is no bar and there is no pool or gym in this place, which is why I downgraded the amenities. However if you were going to Giza for the pyramids, this is the place. Yes it is right behind the camel and the horse staging area so from 8 o’clock in the morning till quitting time which is 4 o’clock in the afternoon, you will have the authentic experience. If you do not like trash, if you do not like dust, if you do not like smells, you should probably just not be coming to Egypt in general! Because it is everywhere. However, if you want the authentic experience at the base of the pyramids, this is the place. Oh, and the Internet is crap… So just make sure you have a really good cellular plan because it’s no better anywhere else in Egypt either. From our experience, and we have traveled everywhere, the left over British colonies just don’t have a really great Wi-Fi infrastructure.

GGuest UserIf you want to be close to the pyramids, this hotel is well located. It's on a quiet street that is only a short drive from the GEM and Giza pyramids. However, there is nothing around the hotel and it's not pleasant to walk. The view from the rooftop and restaurant is nice, but not really from the rooms. Although I could see the pyramids from my room, there was a lot in the way and the windows were small and in the corner. My friends had the nice room with the windows on two walls, but there view still wasn't all that great. The pictures of the rooms make them look better than they really are. The staff are friendly and breakfast is great.
