BYD Song PLUS New Energy
We booked BYD but got Alfa Romeo. The car is of the same segment so we have no complaint except that we expect to get hybrid car to save some fuel cost but the Alfa Romeo is using diesel, which is much expensive. Nevertheless, the car performance is impeccable, we navigated the Alpine mountains routes with ease. The pick up is bit tricky, you have to search for the shuttle van around the Milan central station, which we spent like 15minutes until we called the branch for guidance. Other than that, the renting process was smooth. They'd suggested to add their own insurance but we politely refused since we'd already bought from Trip.com and they're okay with it, they don't push us. Overall, the renting experience was great, the company is good.

They didn't have a Renault, so they got a larger Jeep. The car is in excellent condition and the driving experience is great. It's a hybrid, very fuel-efficient, around 6.0L/100km.

We got a BYD Seal which was great, big enough for all our luggage, very nice to drive in Italy. Pick up and return went very smoothly. The deposit was also returned quickly, it took only two weeks. Overall a great experience

Picking up the car was convenient, and returning it was quick. However, the Hertz return route at Milan MXP Airport was poorly designed; I missed the entrance three times because it was very unclear. It's essential to take complete photos of the vehicle's condition both when picking up and returning it to avoid future disputes. We took a whopping 80 photos, documenting every detail. So far, everything is normal and we haven't received any fines. We rented a hybrid, but they actually gave us a gasoline car, which wasn't what we expected. Gas prices are extremely high…
