We even got a larger vehicle. It already had some minor damage, but that wasn't a problem for us at all. Pickup and drop-off were extremely easy. The staff spoke some English; we communicated the rest using a translator app. What surprised us a bit was that we didn't receive any written confirmation like a rental agreement (which we had signed on a tablet, by the way). Only after we asked several times were we told to leave our mobile number and they would send us a link to the contract later. When we followed up with a text message that evening, we finally received the contract by email. We also didn't receive any written confirmation of the vehicle's return. Perhaps this is normal in Taiwan, but we weren't used to it, and we've rented cars abroad quite a few times. All in all, it was very easy, but a little unusual for us.
