We really enjoyed our rental experience with Nichu. They quoted a very competitive price for the Alphard we were hoping to rent, well below half price compared to bigger companies such as Toyota rent a car. It is an older version (2nd gen) instead of 3rd but not a deal breaker for us, as we just need a big MPV for the whole family at a great price. The car itself is also in reasonable condition, consistent with its age without major damage. Pick up and drop off were very smooth, their shuttle bus was flexible and picked us up from Hilton Narita and dropped us at Narita Airport on return. I have paid with an Amex card with included car rental insurance so I have declined comprehensive cover, but was extremely pleasantly surprised that they did not attempt to profit from that like some other budget rental companies in my previous experience. I would definitely recommend their service to my family and friends.

Excellent service. The staff were very polite and accommodating to me as a foreigner. The car was very reliable and fuel efficient for a reasonable price. I asked to extend the rental for another day and they were very helpful. I would absolutely rent through them again the next time I visit Japan. Highly recommend!

The vehicle is a bit old, but it's easy to start and drive, and can be driven normally without any problems. There's a lot of paintwork and minor scratches on the exterior, but the rental company staff are very nice. They're friendly and polite, and the car is efficient and offers good value for money.
