The George Town Festival (GTF), one of Asia’s leading arts and cultural festivals, is pleased to announce the 16th edition of GTF, which will be held from 2 to 10 August 2025. This year, GTF introduces a new theme, “Connections,” which focuses on the relationship between art and the human experience. 
Through art in all its forms – theatre, music, dance, photography, visual arts and more – the festival offers a fresh perspective on art, inspiring new thoughts and feelings while celebrating how art awakens our senses – sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell.

Komtar is a famous landmark building in George City, Penang, Malaysia. It is named after &quot;**Penang**&quot; and &quot;**Everbright**&quot; (**Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak**), and is one of the main commercial and administrative centers in Penang. The design of the building is a combination of commercial, retail, office and government uses. It was originally built in 1974 and completed in 1986, with a height of about 249 meters. With 65 floors, it was one of the tallest buildings in Southeast Asia at the time. In recent years, Komtar has undergone several renovations and renovations, including the addition of a glass corridor (The Rainbow Skywalk), where visitors can overlook the beautiful scenery of George City at high altitude. This building is not only an important landmark in Penang, It is also a frequent destination for locals and tourists.

A must-visit in Penang, it has a very unique feel and is very photogenic. There are many shops run by Chinese people, and you can communicate in Chinese and simple English. It is very comfortable to find a coffee shop for a smoothie on a hot day. There is a good Hainanese chicken rice nearby, which is not expensive and tastes amazing.
