Düsseldorf Festival | Dusseldorf
Celebration
The Düsseldorf Festival is a vibrant playground, inviting people to engage with art in a relaxed and enjoyable way. It's an open space, an ideal place to enjoy sensory experiences and satisfy curiosity. The Düsseldorf Festival is a performing arts extravaganza encompassing theater, music, new circus, and dance. Its diverse program focuses primarily on interdisciplinary and cross-stylist art forms. Originating in the early 1990s as the "Old Town Autumn Festival," it initially aimed to serve as an alternative to the traditional performances and classical music concerts of the city's public institutions. Today, high-level international performances continue to be held in the festival's heart—the large theater tent on Castle Square—within which its influence extends far beyond the surrounding area.
