The Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival, one of the three major exhibitions at Guangzhou Cultural Park, began in 1956. It showcases various lanterns made in Guangzhou and Foshan, rich in Lingnan characteristics, and has been beloved by citizens and tourists for many years. The 2026 Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival at Guangzhou Cultural Park will be held from September 25th to October 7th, featuring 27 large and medium-sized lantern sets and nearly a thousand decorative lights, all free of charge. Themed "Millennial Commercial Capital, Cantonese Charm of Liwan," the festival uses the exquisite craftsmanship and grand scale of traditional lanterns, combined with modern elements and low-carbon, environmentally friendly materials, to create a spectacular lantern extravaganza.

The Picasso Ceramic Art Museum at the Guangzhou Opera House, located on the first floor of the Experimental Theatre, is a themed art exhibition area officially authorized by the Picasso Foundation. The museum displays over 30 authentic Picasso ceramic works from 1946 to 1971, encompassing various creations including plates and vessels. Classic works such as "Woman with Tousled Hair" have been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The exhibition also showcases Picasso's exploration of ceramic art incorporating Eastern ink painting techniques. The exhibition runs until January 24, 2027, making it a unique cultural destination in Guangzhou's core urban area that combines international artistic value with a rich cultural and tourism experience.

China and Egypt are both ancient civilizations of the world. Their development paths not only reveal many commonalities but also display unique cultural colors. To promote cross-civilizational exchange and mutual learning, we have launched the 'Gifts of the Nile: Ancient Egyptian Artifacts and Digital Art Experience Exhibition.' The exhibition carefully selects 206 precious artifacts/sets and is organized around five major chapters: 'The Land of the Gods,' 'Kings and Rule,' 'Writing and Communication,' 'Life and Beauty,' and 'The Journey of Life,' systematically presenting the splendid aspects of ancient world civilizations. At the same time, by utilizing rich digital presentations and the creations of contemporary young artists, the exhibition builds a multidimensional dialogue between China and Egypt, ancient and modern times, and physical artifacts and digital media.

The 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), the autumn session, takes place from 15 October to 4 November 2026 at the Canton Fair Complex in Pazhou, Guangzhou, and runs in three phases. Established in 1957 and co-hosted by China's Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the fair is known as China's No. 1 Fair and ranks among the largest comprehensive international trade exhibitions in the world. This session covers a total exhibition area of about 1.55 million square metres and 54 specialised exhibition sections: Phase 1 focuses on advanced manufacturing, covering household electrical appliances, consumer electronics, industrial automation and new energy vehicles, among others; Phase 2 centres on quality home life, with building and decorative materials, sanitary and bathroom equipment, furniture and household items; and Phase 3 revolves around a better life, including textiles and apparel, footwear and bags, toys, baby and maternity products, healthcare products and food. The fair is centred on wholesale sourcing talks with buyers from around the world, with daily negotiation hours from 9:30 to 18:00.
