Open Skate! Redwood City will be hosting a public skate night on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at SportsHouse located on 3151 Edison Way, Redwood City, CA 94063. The event will transform the four volleyball courts into a roller rink suitable for all ages and abilities. General admission tickets are priced at $18 for early bird purchases and $23 once early bird tickets are sold out. Youth tickets (12 and under) are available for $15 during early bird sales and $18 thereafter. Rental skates, ranging from size 10 for little kids to size 15 for adults, will be provided. Protective gear like wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads, and helmets will also be available, albeit in limited quantities. Participants must sign a waiver for entry, with minors requiring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Skate lessons will be offered for beginners, along with a dance lesson. Food and drinks can be purchased from Kicks Grill during the skate session. By attending, all participants agree to assume any associated risks and will be held accountable for their actions.
