Troops will present their artwork, whether it be drawings, photographs, or collages, depicting their ideal world. Join in the exploration of a brighter future for all through creative expression. Experience an Intermediate Mountain Bike Ride at Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead in Escondido, as the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy partners with the San Diego Mountain Biking Association on Thursday, May 16th, 2024. The event will commence at 10 am, with riders meeting at the Sikes Adobe Farmhouse parking area, Sunset Staging Area. The ride, limited to 18 participants, will start at 10:15 am and cover a distance of 13-16 miles with 1000 feet of elevation gain. Participants are required to register and sign waivers prior to the event. Riders will travel east towards Raptor Ridge, with the option to use Class 1 and 2 ebikes. Safety gear such as helmets, water, and snacks are essential, along with suitable footwear. Parents or guardians must accompany minors under 18. In case of adverse weather conditions, the event will be canceled. Donations to support the Conservancy's conservation, education, and recreation efforts can be made to the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy and the San Diego Mountain Biking Association, both 501(c)3 Nonprofits.
