Arts
The All'Aperto Quick Draw event is a juried art competition that will take place at the L'Italia Festival in Lititz, PA. Artists of all ages and experience levels are invited to participate in this exciting event, which will be held on September 16th, 2023, at the beautiful Lititz Spring Park. Registration is completely free and open to the public.
The theme for this year's competition is the Spirit of L'Italia, and artists are encouraged to use any 2-dimensional medium to capture their chosen subject(s). Each artist can submit up to three separate works to the jury, but it is important that all artwork is created on-site, En Plein Air, within the designated timeframe.
The All'Aperto Quick Draw event offers cash prizes for the top three winners. The first-place winner will receive $250, the second-place winner will receive $150, and the third-place winner will receive $75. The winners will be announced on the Main Stage at 3:00 PM.
Throughout the day, artists will have the opportunity to create their artwork in the location(s) of their choosing within the park. After completing each work within a 2-hour window, the artists must deliver their finished pieces to the Bortz Pavilion no later than 2:00 PM for display and judging. All artwork will remain on display until the end of the L'Italia Festival.
Artists can use any medium, including oils, acrylics, watercolors, graphite, ink, charcoal, and more. The artwork will be available for purchase at prices set by the artists, and a 20% commission will be collected to benefit the Keystone Italian Project, a 501(c)3 organization based in Lititz, PA. The PA Sales Tax of 6% will be added to all sales.
