About North Mundham Primary School
North Mundham Primary School was originally opened in 1875, built on land donated by William Fletcher, a local benefactor. The school expanded over time, and during the 1970s a new building was opened in the village, with the school operating across two sites.
In 1989, the original school was completely refurbished and enlarged, bringing the school back onto a single site. The addition of a double detached mobile in 1997 established North Mundham as a one-form entry school.
The buildings and grounds now include a secure play area for the reception class, an ICT suite, a library, a music/community room, and a group room. The school also benefits from a playing field, two playgrounds, a small orchard, an outdoor classroom, and a woodland area used for forest school. These are all valuable outdoor play and learning environments.
There is a good range of extra-curricular activities, and all pupils are encouraged to take part. Sports matches are played against local schools, and links with the wider community are very strong.
