About this event
Wake in the Snake was presented with the 2023 Malibu-Axis dealer event of the year. The 27th annual grassroots wakeboard competition will be held
July 12th
in Burley, Idaho. Bring your pop up tent, lawn chairs & enjoy an action packed day for the entire family. Hot dogs , hamburgers, shaved ice will be for sale from the Pomerelle Ski Patrol & The Sno Shoppe Shaved Ice. Mandatory pre-registration required. Preregister June 17th to July 10th and pay ONLY $60, onsite registration $100. Rider check in starts at 7:30 am. Mandatory rider's meeting at 8:15 am and the action starts at 9 am. First to register rides last & last to register rides first.

. The event is limited to 55 riders due to time constraints. If the class that you want to register in shows as sold out please contact carol@idahowatersports.com to see if any adjustments can be made to the number in each class to accommodate everyone.

City of Burley
The City of Burley will allow overnight camping for Wake in the Snake Friday & Saturday only. They would like
RV camping to be at the up river
end of the parking lot rather than at the event site. They requested that we keep the event site open for event & golf course parking. There is no overnight camping allowed at the site during the year but they make a special exception for our event. The sprinklers will turn on at 5am Sunday morning.

Age Division Rules
Running Order of Divisions (subject to change)
1. Veterans
2. Open Men qualifying round if at least 6 riders are entered
3. Groms
4. Boys
5. Jr. Women
6. Jr. Men
7. Men’s 1
8. Men’s 2
9. Open Women
10. Open Men Finals
For the 2025 season, divisions will continue to be based on an Age Range
with the exception of the Open Women & Open Men’s divisions
. This allows riders to compete amongst their respective peers while eliminating the issue of sandbagging.

Additional details on these Divisions will be forthcoming, but here are
some
of the rules of the competition format.
1. A rider’s age will need to be confirmed no later than 11:59pm Thursday, July 10, 2025 which is the close of the online entries. Registration on the morning of the competition
MAY
be possible if the competitors cap has not been met. If a rider(s) is allowed to enter after the close of online entries, a higher registration fee will need to be paid to IWS & all necessary paperwork will need to be submitted to be eligible to compete.
2. There are no age restrictions for the Open Women & Open Men’s divisions.
3. For 2025, the
Open Men’s division
will have a qualifying round to advance a predetermined number of riders to the Final round provided there’s at least 6 riders entered. The amount of riders advancing to the Final will be announced during the Riders Meeting.
4. A rider who competes in the Open Women or Open Men division may also be able to compete in their respective Age division provided there is no time constraints in the competition schedule. A rider choosing to participate in two different divisions will be required to pay a separate entrance fee for each division they compete in.
5. If requested, a rider will need to present a government issued photo I.D. to show proof of current age. A clear, photo-copy of such document may be used.
6. A rider can NOT compete in more than two (2) divisions. Bonus events, if conducted, such as a Double Up Contest at the end of the day, is not included in this rule.
7. There will be
NO
trick restrictions for any division, except that there will be a predetermined number of tricks that a rider may execute per pass. The max number of tricks per pass will be announced at the riders meeting.
8. Additional information will be presented at the mandatory Rider’s meeting, at 8:15am prior to the start of the competition.
We will have yard games & trivia throughout the day with prizes.

All riders must sign a 2025 WWA Release of Liability form in order to compete, please print and complete the waiver. All riders under 18 yrs old MUST have a parental signature to compete.

**ALL DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH DURING THE EVENT** E-Bikes & scooters are allowed on the walking path but the City has asked that our guests maintain their speed & be respectiful of the public using the path.
