Globally, we are facing unprecedented water challenges. The ocean is likely to change more in the next 100 years than it has over the past 50 million years. Glaciers are melting at an accelerated pace, sea levels are rising dramatically, and pollutants from industry are flowing into our streams. Sofie Crabbé will present a lecture on these water challenges and the crucial role that artists can play in addressing them. What could happen if artists build bridges across various sectors of society - such as science, research, industry, and the general public - to drive change? What if they collaborate to discover innovative ways to raise awareness about the significance of water, rethink our relationship with it, and inspire collective action?
