Itinerary Overview
Day 1 – Welcome to Calgary!
Please feel free to arrive anytime and spend the remainder of your day exploring this beautiful city or relaxing at your hotel. Arrive early enough to take advantage of a complimentary pass to absorb the beautiful views from the Calgary Tower Observatory located near your downtown hotel.

Day 2 - Our Welcome Reception + Calgary to Banff Tour
Please join us as we celebrate the start of the Learning Journey, enjoying a delicious breakfast together before heading to Banff. We will then depart Calgary for a guided tour around some of the highlights of the Banff townsite, followed by hotel check-in and free time that evening.

Day 3 – Tour from Banff to Jasper/Columbia Icefields & Skywalk Tour
Saying goodbye to Banff National Park, you will travel to the designated Dark Sky Preserve of the mountain jewel of Jasper, located in Jasper National Park. Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour along the Icefields Parkway, one of the world's most scenic highways. Experience the power of an ancient glacier up close as you step onboard a massive Ice Explorer for an interpretive adventure onto the Athabasca glacier. Then stand in the sky with an unobstructed view on a glass-floored observation platform at the Columbia Icefield Skywalk. Appropriate footwear, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended. After the visit to the Icefields, you will continue on to Jasper where you can enjoy dinner on your own.

Day 4 – Morning at Leisure and Jasper Highlights Half-day Tour
This morning you will have free time to experience the town of Jasper at your leisure. Walk the cozy streets and consider making stops at the charming local shops and cafés.
On the afternoon tour, explore the spectacular natural treasures of the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies. Discover the mystery of the disappearing water at Medicine Lake and experience the scenic lake cruise of Maligne Lake (weather permitting).
Meals on own. Overnight Jasper. Inclusions: hotel night, half-day tour, admission to lake cruise & venues throughout your tour itinerary
Day 5 - Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper to Quesnel
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain resort of Jasper to the charming rural town of Quesnel, gateway to the North Cariboo. Pass through the Rocky Mountain Trench, with the steep Rocky and Cariboo Mountains on either side, and on to the rolling hills and vast forests of British Columbia's Northern Interior. Highlights include Moose Lake, Mount Robson, at 12,973 feet (3954 metres) is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and cross the continental divide of the Americas over the Yellowhead Pass. Your day concludes as Rocky Mountaineer passes through the city of Prince George and follows the Fraser River into Quesnel.

Day 6 - Rocky Mountaineer from Quesnel to Whistler
Your journey continues south today to the four-season resort of Whistler. Enjoy breathtaking and varied scenery, from the rolling hills and vast ranchlands of the Cariboo Plateau, through the desert-like conditions of the Fraser Canyon, to the river canyons and lush farmland of the Pemberton Valley. Highlights include sweeping views of the Fraser Canyon, the crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world, and the shorelines of glacial-fed Seton Lake and Anderson Lake.
Overnight Whistler. Inclusions: hotel night, transfer to and from the train, baggage handling, GoldLeaf rail, breakfast, lunch, beverages onboard the train
Day 7 - Rocky Mountaineer from Whistler to Vancouver
The morning is free to explore Whistler Village at your leisure. This afternoon, return to Vancouver onboard Rocky Mountaineer through the stunning scenery of the Sea to Sky Corridor. Highlights of the trip include the Cheakamus Canyon, the dome peak of Mount Garibaldi, Brandywine Falls, and breathtaking views of Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains.

Day 8 – Destination Vancouver Tour + Our Farewell Reception
Enjoy a day of sightseeing hosted by
Destination Vancouver
! Meet your Destination Vancouver guide this morning in the lobby of your hotel and spend the day visiting some of Vancouver’s most popular highlights with a quick break for lunch on your own. After the tour, you will have time to freshen up in your well-appointed guest room before joining us for the Farewell Reception. Rocky Mountaineer is pleased to celebrate the Learning Journeys season over dinner accompanied by beverages.

Day 9 - Learning Journey ends
Your journey concludes with check out from your Vancouver accommodation at your convenience.
What is required of me to participate?
There are FOUR requirements for joining the Learning Journey:
1. You'll be required to complete this registration and pay a small participation fee by credit card. Please read
Rocky Mountaineer's Terms and Conditions
and the Terms and Conditions specific to the Learning Journey (below) before committing to registration.
2. You are required to complete
TRACKS
, Rocky Mountaineer's Online Travel Agent Training program. There are five modules, and the full program takes approximately one hour to complete. TRACKS training must be completed at least 30 days prior to departure.
3. Ensure that you have read the
Participant Guidelines
.
4. You are required to complete the
Vancouver Specialist Program
with Destination Vancouver! Upon registration for this, please include promo code RMLJ24 so we can identify your completion. As a token of appreciation, once the Program is completed, you will be provided with a complimentary 90 Day Vancouver Destination Pass, allowing you to visit numerous Vancouver attractions with a guest. All of the above must be completed at least 30 days prior to departure and we advise you do it inside 90 days prior to your arrival in Vancouver.
5. After completion of your Rocky Mountaineer Learning Journey, you will be required to respond to a survey which will be sent to you via email. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

This fee is 100% non-refundable.
Is my spot in the Learning Journey transferable?
Name changes are not permitted once payment has been made.
Do I have to attend all portions of the Learning Journey itinerary?
Yes, as a Learning Journey guest, it is expected that you will be available to participate in each component of the Learning Journey.
No amendments to the itinerary will be permitted
, including early departures, alternate hotels, etc. Rocky Mountaineer and our partners have taken great strides to create an itinerary that provides you with the ultimate learning experience, while also benefiting from a very similar journey as your clients.
