The exam is free to attend and participants do not need to be active applicants in our hiring process. Limited seating is available. The PELLETB is a multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank written examination designed to measure reading and writing ability. Applicants are given 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete the PELLETB. While test takers may take the PELLET B multiple times to achieve the desired score, California POST prohibits test takers from testing more than one time in a 30-day period. Taking the test within 30 days of a prior POST PELLETB examination will result in invalidation of test results. To comply with California POST security measures, we are required to view and retain your government-issued photo ID for the duration of the exam. Please plan to arrive on time.
