John Minihan's friendship with Samuel Beckett blossomed from a shared moment discussing his acclaimed photo series, The Wake of Katy Tyrell, shot in 1977 in Athy, County Kildare. Renowned for his enigmatic persona, Beckett's enigmatic aura made him a compelling photographic subject, with Minihan capturing iconic images of the 20th century literary giant.
