Join artist Sarah Contos and exhibition curator Karen Hall for a walkthrough of ‘Eye Lash Horizon’. Together, they will discuss significant moments throughout the exhibition that highlight the artist's unique process—one that balances recognition and mystery, animating the porous fibres and surfaces of objects to capture histories, ideas, and emotions. ‘Eye Lash Horizon’ marks the first comprehensive survey of the concepts, media, and preoccupations that have shaped the practice of Sydney-based artist Sarah Contos over two decades. — Sarah Contos is a multidisciplinary artist based in Warrang/Sydney. She works across sculpture, textiles, painting, video, and installation and explores emotional and theatrical relationships between imagery, form and materiality. Contos has collaborated on performance, costume, and stage design projects since 2002 and exhibited in solo and group exhibitions since 2009. She has undertaken commissions for the ‘Balnaves Intervention Series’ at the National Gallery of Australia and ‘The Great Strike 1917’ at Carriageworks and has works in private and public collections throughout Australia, including the Art Gallery of South Australia, Artbank, Heide Museum of Modern Art, and the National Gallery of Australia. Sarah Contos is represented by STATION, Sydney and Melbourne. Karen Hall is an arts professional based in Warrang/Sydney with extensive experience working in key cultural organisations nationally and internationally. Glenn Wool Glenn began his comedy career in his hometown of Vancouver in 1995. He moved to London in 1998 and quickly became one of the rising stars of the London and international comedy circuit having performed in Australia, New Zealand, The USA, South Africa, Switzerland, France, Croatia and Arabia. Glenn was nominated for Best International Stand Up at The New Zealand Comedy Awards and twice Best Headliner at the Chortle Awards A masterpiece of comedy which has the audience helpless with laughter. I genuinely think this is one of the best hours of comedy I have ever seen” ★★★★★ The Scotsman 2017 and 2018 has seen Glenn touring with Reginald D Hunter for his Some People v. Reginald D.
