The Australian - Just Get It Done! - Rope Access ChallengeProudly sponsored by Edelrid, Australia's leading brand in rope accessBringing the best rope access technicians from all over Australia and the rest of the world, together to compete in the biggest rope access competition ever hosted in Australia. A completely new format of rope access challenge, never before done anywhere in the world. Technicians will be performing challenging manouvres, required to use tools to complete tasks that they would do in the real world, whilst there is rock music glaring out of the speakers, smoke machines are pumping and the lights, lazers and strobes are shining in their eyes, creating a sensory overload for the technicians and a visual spectacle for the audience alike. After successfully completing both NSW and VIC state championships, the finalists from those states as well as some local, interstate and international wild card technicians, will compete for the 2024 trophy's of the national finals in each of the 4 competitor categories. The Rules- You can do whatever you like, to Just Get It Done!**As long as you adhere to these rules: - 2 points of contact at all times - Big swings and using hands or feet for work positioning are allowed - Major discrepancy, like going on a single point for example, will result in major penalties - Minor discrepancies, like unscrewed carabiners for example (you can use auto lock), will result in minor penalties - Dropped objects such as screws, nuts & bolts etc, or requiring external physical assistance during a manoeuvre, will result in penalty times, as specified in each discipline - Dropped tools & equipment, including phones & carabiners, will be considered a major discrepancy and result in major penalties - The judge’s verdict is final and undisputable Technicians can participate in one of the following 4 categories:Fastest Lady in TownFastest Gun in TownRookie of the year (L1's with less than 1000 hours logged)A Blast from the Past (Owners, Directors, Managers, who have been off the tools for at least 5 years)**Participants in the Blast from the Past do not require current IRATA or SPRAT Qualification ** All Participants in all categories need to pass a basic competency test before competing Limited Wild Card Numbers Available - Be quick to book!3 Spots - Fastest Lady in Town 3 Spots - Fastest Gun in Town 3 Spots - A Blast from the Past 3 Spots - Rooky of the Year Prizes - What's in it for the ChallengersThere will be great Prizes sponsored by Edelrid & Wingman Tool Bags, inclding harnesses, descenders, back up devices and tool bags. The essence of this event is enjoyment and providing each participating company and their representatives a chance to enhance their visibility and reputation with their clients and friends alike.
