Our Abberton Home Education Group runs on the 4th Wednesday of every month (exc. August and December). These are drop-off sessions, so children do not need to be accompanied – it is for children aged 8-14. Each session has a theme, and we will complete activities and engage with nature based on the month's topic. This is a relaxed session where children can be themselves and work together to develop social skills and foster a deep understanding of wildlife and a love of the natural world. In November, we will get creative and make some Winter Wreaths. We will weave a circle from willow and then decorate it with a selection of greenery provided. Please note this session will take place indoors. Please come suitably dressed for the weather, as we will be outside for the whole session. The company, led by Sofia Bagge, an accomplished actor, theater director, and drama teacher, and Molly Anne Sweeney, a talented scriptwriter and facilitator, holds the esteemed position of Associate Artists at the University of Greenwich. They are also Artists in Residence at The Glitch in London and have received a commission from UCL Culture’s Performing Planet Activism to collaborate with climate researchers.
