Come join us at our Nothing To Celebrate day-to-night party! A queer-centering counter-celebration of indigenous cultures from Abya Yala through dance, music and food. On Sunday the 13th of October, we are getting together at The Derby Brewery Arms to share a free, community-cooked meal and dance to the music of Abya Yalan cultures played by DJs Atiké, Mami Chula and yeguachita. We will also be giving out a few free copies of our collaborative Food Zine, made by N2C collective alongside participants of our Food Zine Workshop that will have happened on the 14th of September, and there will be a chance to make banners and flags to decorate The DBA in time for dancing to the beat of our DJs. The set times for our day-to-night party are as follows: 3-4PM - flag and banner making workshop 4-5:30PM - sharing of our free community meal using a recipe from our collaborative food zine, playing music from a collaborative playlist DJ SETS 5:30-7PM - yeguachita (N2C Collective) 7-8:30PM - Atiké (Me Gusta Collective) 8:30-10PM - Mami Chula (Azúcar Creative Space) For venue access information please click here.
