Oldham born Stevie is gaining popularity as an opening act, with promoters believing his energy can be used as a catalyst to warm the crowd for the rest of the evening. However, the versatility of Stevie’s act means he never looks out of place anywhere on the bill, resulting in him both compering and headlining numerous gigs, as well as performing a number of warm-up gigs for TV and radio. Family Events
These antenatal workshops are to support breastfeeding/chestfeeding for families in the York area. Treasure Chest volunteers run free monthly antenatal breastfeeding workshops where pregnant people and a partner/family member/friend can attend to gain a better insight of how to get off to a good start in breastfeeding your new baby. Our workshops give you the opportunity to explore the reasons why breastfeeding is a great way to feed your baby, or babies! We will let you know what to expect covering everything from the first feed to breastfeeding in public and expressing. We will also signpost where to find help and support in the local area just in case you need it. Finally, there is the opportunity to talk to a breastfeeding parent about their experiences and ask any questions you may have. Partners are very welcome too so you both have the opportunity to ask questions and prepare before your baby arrives. When should I come? We try to accommodate as many couples as possible onto each workshop but due to limited numbers, please try to book ahead to attend when you are around 30-36 weeks pregnant, although you can book during any stage of your pregnancy. We can only accept bookings from people living in the York area. We run our workshops free of charge so that they are accessible to everyone; we welcome donations to help support more families. You'll have the opportunity to give when you book your ticket by choosing the 'with donation' option. How long are the workshops? Workshops begin at 9:30 am, and run until 1pm ( there will be breaks!) We suggest you arrive at 9.15am Where do they take place? St Andrew’s Church Hall, Church Ln, Bishopthorpe, York YO23 2QG There is a car park and also road parking. The number 11 bus stops close by. If you have any questions please email workshop@treasurechest.org.uk. Data Protection : When booking we will ask you to leave your name, contact details and baby’s due date to help us prepare for the workshop and to contact you with information both before and after the workshop. We will also contact you after the workshop to ask for your feedback.
