Healing Through ArtWelcome to our Healing Through Art event! Join us for a three-hour workshop that dives into subconscious exploration and healing of unprocessed emotions through art-making. Have you felt like you've been through a lot the last 4+ years but can't quite put a finger on what is causing your uneasiness? Society has seen a lot of change and upheaval in the last 5 years from global health crises, wars, economic hardships, and divisions in offices of power. It's ok to not know how to express what we are feeling. We created this event to provide a safe space to explore feelings we can't label. This in-person gathering will provide you with the opportunity to explore your emotions through an intuitive mixed-media art process, no artistic skills required! From stream-of-consciousness writing to collage and painting, there will be something for everyone to explore. Let your creativity flow and experience the therapeutic power of art. No prior artistic experience is needed - just an open heart and mind. The IMA Browns Plains Jam Night 2023/2024 provides a unique opportunity for current and past clients of Independent Music Academy to showcase their talent in a relaxed and supportive environment. Similar to the academy's semi-annual Concerts, the Jam Nights offer a more casual setting akin to a gathering of friends playing music together. Participants have the freedom to select up to 2 songs from the Song List and can opt to perform solo without the band's accompaniment.
