The Maryland Wear & Carry Course (CCW) on 28 January and 4 February from 10 am to 6 pm is a prerequisite training course necessary to obtain a Maryland Wear and Carry Permit. It is important to note that this is a two-day event, and attendees must be present on both days. The course, hosted by Engage Armament LLC at their venue in Rockville (701 East Gude Drive #101, Rockville, MD 20850), is designed to fulfill the 16-hour requirement mandated by Maryland law. Participants will receive their certificate upon completion of both the classroom and range portions of the course. While this course covers the fundamentals of handguns, firearm usage, and Maryland firearm law, it focuses primarily on more advanced topics such as ballistics, firearm selection, carry considerations, and vehicle considerations. Individuals without any prior firearm experience are encouraged to contact brandon@engagearmament.com before signing up for the course. Get ready for an unforgettable Valentine's experience at the FSRD My Bloody Valentine 2024! This exciting tournament will bring together the Cupid Crushers, Heart Breakers, and Black Diamonds for a thrilling round-robin competition. The event will take place at the Rockville Sports Arena in Rockville, MD on February 10, 2024. Doors open at 4:00 p.m., and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring your own chair or cushion, as only those aged 18 and over will be seated trackside on the floor. The action starts at 4:30 p.m. with the Cupid Crushers taking on the Heart Breakers, followed by the Heart Breakers facing off against the Black Diamonds at 6:00 p.m. The final match of the night will see the Black Diamonds go head-to-head with the Cupid Crushers at 7:30 p.m. Each game promises approximately 40 minutes of intense roller derby action. The pace of the ride will be around 9-10 mph, ensuring a comfortable experience for all participants.
