Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a beginner looking to explore the world of movement, cyclicity, self-expression and creativity. What to Expect: • Lunar Dance Exploration: Deep dive into lunar energy. Be guided through moonscapes. Enhance and unlock creativity. • Props, Costumes, and Dynamic Music: Experiment with props, costumes and dynamic music. • Transformation and Connection: Immerse yourself in the transformative power of dance and moon energy. Thanks to the Avon Community Services. Session 1 - 10:00am Session 2 - 11:00am Each coaching workshop session is 50 minutes in duration. Our facilitators analyze the participants skill level and work from that base and assist with confidence building. Skills can be taught but confidence cannot. It is important to not only just focus on skill building but confidence as well. By using their own skill base as a stepping stone we are able to help them advance. Our instructors speak the participant’s language and speak on their level. Our instructors relay this safety message to our participants and reiterate the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries.Freestyle Now squad members would be present to offer participants technical advice, trick tips, skill development and skatepark etiquette. Participants are split up into groups based on their skills and or what is required to learn. All participants would need their own equipment and would also be required to wear a helmet and closed in shoes. Participants with defective equipment may not be able to participate. Our facilitators are not able to make repairs to participants equipment during the coaching session. Participants under the age of 6 will be taken on their ability to understand and follow instructions and to control their apparatus. Key points Limited spare scooters and skateboard will be availableCoaching workshops are not suitable for 3 wheeled plastic scooters.Participants must be wearing a helmetPlease remember to bring some water and wear sunscreenParticipants must be over the age of 6Parents must stay on site if their child is under 12Please arrive 15 minutes early to register your attendanceDisclaimer form will need to be signed on the dayFreestyle Now coaching workshops are fun, informative and motivational. The squad members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. All our instructors are very easy going and relate to the participants well. Women are invited to play and explore creativity with intention, rhythm, and flow in alignment with the Moon Phases. The synergy between lunar connection and embodied movement can inspire profound, lasting shifts in both personal and collective creative practices. This event falls on the Waxing Gibbous Phase and is inspired by the Golden Handle, a delicate visual effect that appears on the moon's surface around 1-2 days after the first quarter. This special play of light will inspire our movement and nurture our creative flow as the moon approaches fullness. Open to women and those identifying as women, this practice offers a safe and supportive space to explore movement, self-expression, and creativity.
