Cultural Experiences
Join us for the third annual UPK Leadership Institute, a summit dedicated to advancing high-quality early learning in San Mateo County.
This institute will convene the
San Mateo County Universal Pre-Kindergarten Mixed Delivery Early Learning Partners and School District Leadership
to deepen alignment, coordinate efforts, and strengthen the infrastructure for a high-quality, cohesive mixed-delivery system.
Attendees will leave with practical tools and guided action plans to directly enhance their own programs. Sessions will help participants identify strategies to overcome local implementation challenges, improve instructional quality through evidence-based guidance, and sustain inclusive and developmentally appropriate practices across Transitional Kindergarten, Preschool, Family Child Care, ELOP, and After School Programs.
Participants will gain insights through focused dialogue, examination of key program components, and the sharing of promising practices, equipping them with ideas and resources applicable to their unique roles.
We are honored to welcome keynote speaker
Polly Yu of Designed for Young Minds.
Polly will lead our opening session focused on
Trauma-Responsive and Resilience-Building Practices for Educators
. In this session, educators will gain a foundational understanding of the neurobiology of toxic stress and trauma and its impact on children and adults.
Participants will leave with actionable strategies and specific examples they can implement in their classrooms to foster strength-based relationships and supportive environments, thereby promoting children's health, healing, and long-term resilience.
Register today to connect with leaders, celebrate progress, and help shape the next steps for universal pre-kindergarten in San Mateo County.
