Ema is inspired by the mystery and magic found in Japanese and Maori Folklore, and this influence can be seen throughout her captivating and detailed images. Kintsugi It's called kintsugi (金継ぎ), or kintsukuroi (金繕い), literally golden (“kin”) and repair (“tsugi”). This traditional Japanese art uses a precious metal – liquid gold, liquid silver or lacquer dusted with powdered gold – to bring together the pieces of a broken pottery item and at the same time enhance the breaks. This is a 3-part class taking class taking place Friday evening, Saturday morning then Sunday afternoon. Make your own river epoxy serving board using a live edge walnut slab and epoxy. We will cover estimation of how much epoxy to mix so you minimize waste. We will also cover controlling flow and use of dams.
