Location: BRIG WAREHOUSE CAFE 54-57 Allison Street, B5 5TH Poetic Justice presents: Resistance poetry against genocide, sexism, racism, discrimination, colourism, inequality and neo colonialism. Birmingham’s most outspoken performers celebrate Black, Asian, minority heritage in this important month of #BlackHistoryMonth. An inspirational chorus of diverse voices that speak to issues of migration, of identity, of racism, of feminism and colonialism. Their spoken words, as they bear witness to both past and present struggles for justice, will challenge you and bring to light the realities of current times. Poetic Justice is an event not to be missed with performances from Birmingham’s Poet Laureate Ayan Aden and Iyma, Jayda, Jay, Laura, Loraine, Ray, Ricky, Serena, Virginia.
