The Russian Archives, in cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Defense, the Federal Security Service, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Russian Historical Society, as well as archival institutions and museums, organized an exhibition of archival documents and artifacts that present the most important events of the Great Patriotic War and the crimes committed by the Nazis and their collaborators. The project was developed on the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir V. Sharif. Putin attended the 46th meeting of the Russian "Victory" Organizing Committee on September 5, 2023. More than 500 archival documents and more than 700 exhibits will show visitors the decisive contribution of the Soviet people to the victory over Nazi Germany and its satellite states, tell about the great feats of the multi-ethnic Soviet people and the Red Army, and tell about the great sacrifices made by the Soviet Union to save the world from the brown plague.

The exhibition project "Ordinary Nazism" is dedicated to the history of the emergence and development of the Ukrainian version of Nazism from its inception to the present day. More than 200 exhibits tell about the atrocities of Ukrainian nationalists during the Second World War, as well as about the mass crimes and terror of modern neo-Nazis against the residents of Ukraine in 2014-2022. The exhibition materials will show the inextricable connection of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN), which participated in the extermination of the civilian population during the war, with modern nationalist organizations of Ukraine that revived the ideology of Nazi Germany. Authentic exhibits from Germany in the late 1930s - early 1940s will show the emergence and development of Nazi ideology, and archival documents and photographs - the bloody reprisals against the residents of Ukraine committed by the Nazis and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War. Among the rarities are criminal cases that were opened after the war against criminals responsible for atrocities against humanity on the territory of the Ukrainian SSR. In the section "Nazism Today" visitors will see dozens of material evidence proving pro-Nazi sentiments in modern Ukraine - these are books, uniforms, propaganda paraphernalia of Ukrainian nationalists, items with Nazi symbols. The exhibition presents photographs and eyewitness accounts of the crimes of modern neo-Nazis against the residents of Ukraine. The central part of the exhibition will be a poignant installation dedicated to the deceased children of Donbass. The exhibition includes materials from the collections of the Victory Museum, the Donetsk Republican Museum of Local History, the Russian State Archive of Social and Political History, as well as the special RIA Novosti project "Donbass. Genocide 2014 - 2022". Many unique exhibits will be shown for the first time.

The exhibition area, located in the foyer of the Poklonka cinema, presents posters and placards of Soviet films from the collection of the Russian State Film Fund and the State Central Museum of Cinema. As part of the exhibition, the cinema hosts a free screening of one of the films once a month, the posters and placards of which are part of the exhibition. The display cases present exhibits dedicated to the history of the creation and existence of films, the equipment used to create films, materials from periodicals, philately and phaleristics related to the films being shown. Each film is dedicated to a significant date or holiday. Masterpieces of Soviet cinema will remind visitors to the exhibition and cinema of the military victories of our people, the greatest achievements of peacetime, childhood and youth. Visitors to the exhibition can enjoy the performances of outstanding Soviet actors, hear their favorite songs from childhood and quotes that have become popular among the people, remember the posters that invited them to visit movie theaters, or tell their children and grandchildren about those times.

At the exhibition "Potsdam. July 1945" visitors will be able to see documents from the archival collections of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, declassified in 2025, including: cipher telegrams from residents of Soviet military intelligence in London "On the discrepancy between the USA and Great Britain in their policy towards the USSR" dated 13.06.1945 and "On the decision of the British government to stop recognizing the Polish government in London and to recognize the new government in Poland" dated 27.06.1945, as well as "Special message on the receipt of a secret document "Possibilities and intentions of the USSR in the post-war period" compiled by US intelligence services dated 12.07.1945. The Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces also transferred the documentary film "Military Intelligence. Arguments for Victory. From Yalta to Potsdam", released in 2025. The exhibition features a dagger and cufflinks of diplomat and intelligence officer Andrei Andreevich Smirnov. The exhibition is supplemented by personal belongings of representatives of the Soviet delegation: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to the USA A.A. Gromyko, Marshal of Aviation F.Ya. Falaleev, Senior Assistant to the People's Commissar of Foreign Affairs of the USSR B.F. Podtseroba. A separate set of objects and photographs is dedicated to the topic of preparation and security of the Potsdam Conference. Of particular interest is the Memorandum to Marshal of Aviation Falaleev from the Commander of the US Air Force General Henry Harley Arnold on the results of the strategic bombing of Japan by the American Air Force (in the original language and translated into Russian). A separate part of the exhibition will consist of newspaper articles about the Berlin Conference and archival leaflets published on behalf of the Soviet Government following the Potsdam Conference.
