The Joy Club- Children's summer activity week Adeyfield Free URC Church have started a new holiday club for 5-11 year olds with the support of Expressions Academy called The Joy Club ! This week will run from the 4-8th August with early start and late pick up options and all meals included. The Joy Club will be full of games, crafts, food workshops, dance and drama classes and so much more. Key Details: What: A guided walk through the wetland reserve to see and hear the native bats at dusk. When: Thursday 25th September 2025 at 18:30 Where: Meeting/parking at Camelot Rugby Club, then heading to the Gadespring Wetland Reserve, which is a 2 minute walk away. What to expect: Gathering at the Gadespring wetland reserve just as the sun sets, the bats will be beginning their nightly hunting. We'll be able to see them flying around, learn about the different species and their habitats and most excitingly of all. We'll be able to hear them. We're being provided with bat detectors that convert the ultra sonic bat calls into frequencies we can hear. After a good walk around we can take the time to talk, and catch up on how everybody is doing. We will be adding a little honey as well as some spices like cinnamon and nutmeg and it will be made with coconut milk.
