a long side: a queer double portrait Join Rae (she/they) and Emily (she/her) at Sunset Studios for an evening of dance, live music, projection, and community. Following a 50-minute performance, there will be a reception with light refreshments. Please note that this event is free to attend with a suggested $20 donation to loveDANCEmore. About the Performance Rooted in melding live performance and filmed dance, Rae and Emily center queer art and community, imagine possibilities and overlaps with Amelia Diehl's live music and composition, and joyfully embrace queer as a verb. In other words, we've spent five-ish years researching, playing, experimenting, writing, and dancing about queer visual art, and the development of this work is what we have to show for it. Come see what we've got! Attendees are strongly encouraged to wear a KN95 or N95 mask. About the Artists Rae Luebbert (she/they) is a movement artist, dance educator, arts administrator, film maker and community organizer.
