Every year, the ancient Moroccan city of Fez comes alive with the transcendent music of the Fez World Festival of Sacred Music, an extraordinary cultural event known as the world’s premier celebration of the sacred music tradition. The 28th edition of the World Festival of Sacred Music will take place from Friday 16 May to Saturday 24 May 2025, bringing together diverse spiritual and musical expressions against the stunning backdrop of Fez’s thousand-year-old medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in 1994 after the Gulf War, the Fez Festival celebrates religious diversity and promotes cultural understanding through the universal language of music. What makes the Fez Festival unique is its commitment to bringing together artists from Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and indigenous faith traditions to perform in historic venues that celebrate the sacredness of their art.
