Flitwick Eagles Pre-Season Tournament 2025/26 | Flitwick Football Centre

Sports & Fitness
Flitwick Eagles Football Club is a Football England Accredited Community Club that has been running a pre-season tournament for almost 30 years. The original, the cheapest and still the best.. we have teams that return year on year, so please book early to avoid disappointment!) The Flitwick Eagles Pre-Season Tournament at the home of Flitwick Eagles, on Ampthill Road in Flitwick, is the ideal preparation for the forthcoming 2025/26 Season; for newly formed or existing teams. Please remember that you are booking for 'Next Seasons' age group i.e. Season 2025/26 With 100+ teams (mixed) competing in age groups from U7 through to U15 and a guaranteed hour of football matches for every team; it's a great opportunity to see your teams in action before the new season. Hosted over 2 days, all the teams are guaranteed to play at least an hour of competitive football, with trophy and medals for the winners and runner up in each age group. ** Please remember this is a pre-season tournament for next season 2025/26 (not this season), therefore the age group you select, needs to be that of next season i.e. if you are currently U10 then you need to be entering our U11 tournament (please do not enter the age group of your team for this current season!). A note about Cup & Plate competitions: PLEASE NOTE: We are hosting separate Cup and Plate standard competitions for U11 & U12 age groups (9-A-Side) (a) to make the competition more competitive and even for all teams, (b) to encourage greater participation from lower league teams; and (c) to avoid academy and top Division winning teams been drawn against lower league opposition. In the interest of fairness, please ensure that you enter your team in the correct competition, as the tournament organisers will be checking! Plus, your ticket will be transferred (or refunded) if you select the Plate competition, when your team is clearly a Cup standard. *It is necessary to state your League and Division when buying a ticket and state if you are an Academy or Development organisation. ** The Cup is for teams that compete in Higher equivalent divisions (e.g. 1 & 2) or any academy, development or ‘select’ teams that do trials. The Plate is for teams competing in Lower divisions (e.g. Div 3 and lower). Additionally, for those of you that have played matches at Flitwick Eagles ground previously, you'll know we have the Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) along with the grass pitches. Please note that all 9-A- Side competitions (U11&U12) are separated into CUP (on grass) and PLATE (on the AGP), formed of groups of 6 teams playing a round robin format to a winner and runner up. This is very important to note as there is a strict footwear policy on the AGP!! Please take note that U11&U12 teams entering the 9-A-Side Plate competition, will be playing all matches on the Artificial Grass Pitch and there is a strict ‘Acceptable Footwear Policy‘ in place. Please ensure the players and coaching staff are fully aware of this. Please have your Club Name, Team Name, Club Secretary, Team Contact, League and Division details available when booking your tickets, the FA will need to approve your inclusion in the tournament and the Flitwick Eagles tournament committee will need to check your results. A range of food, drink and other refreshments are all available at the event, we have something for everyone, with outside seating for the Bar and Café. Marshalled FREE car parking for teams and spectators is nearby at Redborne College and Doolittle Yard, only a few minutes’ walk, just follow the signs. PLEASE NOTE: Parking at the Football Centre is RESTRICTED for Blue Badge holders, Staff, Tournament Organisers, Referees and First Aiders ONLY. Please follow the signs and directions from the marshals to the FREE parking at Redborne College. IMPORTANT NOTE : Dogs are not permitted except for assistance dogs (and you will be refused entry if you attend with a dog) as per FA Guidelines. There is a £3 admission fee per adult supporter (not children or players). If you don’t have cash then card payments are also accepted, however this is slower and will delay entry, therefore cash is preferred (and exact change if at all possible!). We look forward to seeing you at the end of school holiday. Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) - Acceptable Footwear Policy for 9-A-Side Plate CompetitionsFor all U11&U12 teams competing in the 9-A-Side Plate Competitions on the Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) as part of the Flitwick Eagles Pre-Season Tournament, there is a strict acceptable footwear policy defined by the Flitwick Football Centre, that you need to comply with. Please ensure that your players and coaching staff are fully aware of the policy and bring the correct footwear. IMPORTANT NOTE: Football boots with moulded studs or plastic screw-in studs are the only footwear permitted on the Artificial Grass Pitch. There can be no exceptions to this and any players or team coaches deemed to be in breach of the policy (i.e. not wearing the required footwear) will not be allowed onto the AGP. Please take note ! Although this may seem a bit harsh, it is absolutely necessary in order for the Flitwick Football Centre to maintain their warranty on the new pitch; to pass the FIFA accreditation (so that matches can be played on the AGP) and to avoid sizeable maintenance bills. Yes – Permitted : Football boots with moulded studs, screw-in plastic, nylon or rubber studs less than 15mm long are the ONLY footwear permitted on the Artificial Grass Pitch. NO – Cannot Be Worn : Boots with long blades, metal studs, metal tipped studs, astroturf trainers / boots, shoes and trainers with flat soles CANNOT BE WORN and are NOT permitted on the Artificial Grass Pitch under any circumstances (see examples below).
