The Kingsway Football Banquet will be held on Tuesday, November 21st at 6:30pm at Kingsway Regional High School in Woolwich Township. This special event aims to honor the remarkable achievements of the 2023 Kingsway Football Team. Taking place in the East Cafeteria, the awards ceremony will be accompanied by buffet-style appetizers served in the West Cafeteria. The Class of 2024 has proven their prowess on the field, emerging as playoff winners against Hunterdon Central in 2023, Sectional Finalists in 2022, and ultimately securing the NJSIAA South Sectional Championship in 2021. To join in celebrating this exceptional group of players, pre-registration is mandatory for all attendees, including players, senior cheerleaders, coaches, parents, and supporters. Please note that seating will be limited to the first 215 participants. All current football players are required to be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian. This memorable occasion will commence with the distribution of letters, followed by the presentation of senior awards at the conclusion of the banquet. Join the community in honoring the memory of Capt Ryan K. Iannelli at the Capt Ryan K. Iannelli FINALE Home Run Derby on May 18, 2024 in Woolwich Township. In the event of unsafe conditions, updates will be posted on the website and participants can expect a rain date on May 19, 2024. The day will commence with registration at 8:30 am, followed by an Armed Forces Day ceremony at 10 am. All veterans and active military personnel are invited to the Ryan K Iannelli Memorial Field for a special tribute. The event will feature a flyover, with the derby starting immediately after the ceremony. Divisions include Tee ball for ages 5-6 and competitive divisions ranging from ages 7 to adult. Winners will receive trophies and medals, with awards presented at the end of the derby. Additionally, enjoy carnival games, face painting, entertainment, food, and more for a day of family fun. To commemorate the event, t-shirts can be ordered separately online. Don't miss out on this special day to honor a true hero.

Pas de Deux Master Class Come join us for an exciting in-person event at Acosta Dance Centre ( Woolwich) on two different days ( Saturday 16th and 23rd November ) . You can take one or both classes. ( To avoid website fees, you can do a bank transfer. Contact : info@danceconnections.org or DM @gioh_lamboglia ) This Ballet Master class is perfect for dancers looking to enhance their pas de deux skills , or trying for the first time. We will learn basic technique and the steps necessary for Le Corsaire pas de deux on 16th November and we will learn the pas de deux excerpt on 23th November . Instructors have performed this role and will share the skills of how to dance with a partner and refine your technique in a supportive environment. A great opportunity to elevate your dance abilities and connect with fellow dancers. Hope to see you there! We will have a quick barre to warm up followed to the technique or learning pas de deux. She graduated in 2014 and performed with the Company in Coppelia and Nutcraker productions. She was awarded First Place and Best dancer in National competitions. She has competed in and placed in numerous International Competitions including American Dance Competition 2015, USA (Top 15 with Variation and Highest Score with Pas Deux); 7th Helsinki International Ballet Competition 2012,Finland; Youth America Grand Prix NYC Finals 2013, USA; Silver Medal at the International Dance Seminar In Brasilia, 2011,Brazil. In 2015 she got a soloist contract to dance with Ballets de France in Toulouse, France. She moved to Canada in 2016 to be a Soloist Dancer with Canada´s Ballet Jörgen. In Toronto she also had the pleasure to work with Evelyn Hart in her own group and with teachers and choreographers of National Ballet of Canada. Giovanna secured a scholarship to complete her American Ballet Theatre National Teaching Curriculum provided by YUMIKO dancewear and has since been teaching in Canada, Brazil and England, and leading international masterclasses for students across the world, from France to India. Giovanna is now based in London where she is a freelance dancer and teacher where she teaches at Danceworks , London Ballet Classes and Cit Lit . She holds a degree for Cultural Production and is also a founder of Dance Connections Agency where she help dancers to achieve their dreams in the dance industry. She is guest artist doing the role of Clara since 2018 with Symphony of Halifax in Canada . *Acaoã de Castro Born in Brazil, he started his studies at the age of six and graduated from Hellô Ballet, led by Heloísa Randis, as well as from Especial Academia under the guidance of Guivalde de Almeida and Jorge Peña. He was a member of the São Paulo Companhia de Dança from 2011 to 2013, under the direction of Iracity Cardoso. and Inês Bogéa. In 2014, he became a member of the Ballet Nacional del SODRE under the direction of Julio Bocca, participating in both national and international tours. In 2023, he joined Ballet Black as a Senior Artist. His repertoire includes works by renowned choreographers such as Kenneth Macmillan, Ohad Naharin, Nacho Duato, Anne-Marie Holmes, John Cranko, Natalia Makarova, Mario Galizzi, Jiří Kylian, William Forsythe, Demis Volpi, Marcia Haydée, Gemma, and George Balanchine. Our Introduction to Ceramics classes are perfect for those wishing to embark upon their ceramic journey and to discover the joy of working with clay as a medium. More experienced makers may also enjoy participating in order to acquire deeper knowledge and learn new skills to assist in their creative practice. Over 2.5 hours, with guidance from an experienced studio ceramicist, you will learn about clay as a material, and various hand-building techniques including pinching, coiling and slab building. You will learn about the importance of preparing, or ‘wedging’ clay and how to work with the material carefully to avoid cracks during the firings. You will also be encouraged to experiment with simple surface decoration, such as stamping and slip painting. At the end of the session you will aim to have 2 small pieces completed, both of which will be dried, fired and glazed for you by our studio technician. You will be notified as to when the pieces are ready to collect (usually around 3 weeks). All materials and firings are included in the price. Please bring an apron or something that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty! Long finger nails and delicate jewellery not advisable. ​​ All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The programme aims to empower adults with or at risk of Type 2 Diabetes to improve their health and wellbeing through structured exercise based on non-contact boxing or boxercise. Our Boxing Fitness for Type 2 Diabetes Programme is expected to motivate adults of all ages to develop and sustain active lifestyles to combat health problems, such as heart disease, obesity, and the risk of Type 2 diabetes. At the start of the programme, participants will complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) which will identify any health issues, and allow the coaches to assess individual goals for the programme. During Phase 1 of the programme, participants will gain boxing skills in combination with fitness, endurance, and core strength. In Phase 2, participants will reassess their initial goals and set new targets which will be monitored at self-assessment and peer reviews during the latter weeks of the programme. Sustaining Active Lifestyle At the end of the programme, participants will be sign-posted to further opportunities to sustain active lifestyles, such as local gyms and boxing clubs. Anticipated outcomes include improvements in: 1. Fitness levels 2. Mental health and wellbeing 3. Blood glucose control for those with and at risk of Type 2 diabetes.
