The Spectral Flow Cytometry Building Block is aimed at those new to Spectral flow cytometry and those wanting to understand the basics of the technology before attending further Building Blocks. This can be taken as a standalone one day course or can be taken as a building block for the next courses. The course starts with an introduction to Spectral Flow Cytometry Technologies, its importance and why it is become a key tool for scientists. This one-day course will combine theory and practical. Delegates will learn what spectral flowcytometry can bring to their experiments. We will look at how Spectral flow cytometers differ from conventional cytometers in their light detection, how this influences experimental design and some of the specific considerations of using this approach. The Cambridge Shakespeare Festival is an annual festival of William Shakespeare's plays held in Cambridge, England. The Festival was founded in 1987 by Artistic Director Dr David Creeley. Performances are performed in Elizabethan costume and accompanied by live Elizabethan music. The Festival takes place over eight weeks in July and August and attracts over 25,000 audience members. This one hour program is designed for individuals looking to gain self defense techniques and learn more about how to avoid dangerous situations. The program is designed for adults of all ranges of fitness, is low intensity and is perfect for a fun and rewarding night out. 100% of proceeds will go directly to fund the free literacy, numeracy and computer programs at The Literacy Group of Waterloo Region. By partaking in this program you will fund the building of a better tomorrow for our community. Low literacy contributes to cycles of poverty, homelessness and addiction in our community—and it’s not always easy to spot! It is a fact that Low literacy is the root cause of some of our region’s most challenging social issues. There will be tables of demo games including Lorcana, a range ticketed side events of games to sign up for, Bring and Buy, bargains, a quiz, raffle, and more! This year, the Bring & Buy and Bargain Bin will open at 3pm along with check in. Demo tables start at 4pm. Open gaming will begin at 6pm throughout the shop. Guests include: Asmodee, Alley Cat, DnDice, Gen42, Hachette, Meeple Designs and Osprey. Ticketed side events: Children’s Story Adventure Game – 4:30 to 5:30pm Discover D&D with DnDice – 4:30 to 5:45pm; 6:16 to 7:30pm; and 8 to 9:45pm Tatsu pocket tournament – begins at 5:30pm Blood on the Clocktower: beginner and intermediate sessions - 4:30 to 6:45pm; 7:30 to 9:45pm Please note, there are limited spaces for these side events. B ring and Buy: We understand that some people have a lot of games and are ready to trade their old stuff into new, shiny games. As a seller: you can check in any number of games. Please know ahead of time how much you want to price them. There is a deposit to pay of £2 per game which is put on a Waterstones Gift Card, held by staff until check out. At check out you will collect any unpurchased games along with your gift card containing the deposit value and the value of your sold items. As a buyer: you inform a member of staff at the Bring and Buy if there is something you wish to purchase. You will pay the labelled value of the game onto the seller’s gift card… and you can go enjoy a new game! Raffle: We’re raffling prizes supplied by Chaosuim, DnDice, Thames and Kosmos, and Ravensburger. All ticket holders will be given a raffle ticket upon arrival. Want to increase your chances?
