LudoSport Discovery Session - 26th May 2025Hey there! Are you ready to dive into the world of light saber combat? Join us for a LudoSport Discovery Session at the Milestone School on Monday 26th May 2025 (other dates are Monday June 9th and Monday June 23rd, Monday 7th and Monday 21st July) from 7:30 PM to 9:30pm. You'll get to meet other members of the community, as this event also overlaps with our combat club! This event is perfect for beginners, looking to learn the basics of light saber dueling. Come and experience the thrill of wielding a light saber in a fun and friendly environment. No prior experience is necessary, just bring your enthusiasm (and your gym kit, and water) and we'll provide the rest! LudoSport uses real world sword skills and the iconic light saber to create an engaging and enjoyable experience. We are part of a growing international community, and a thriving UK one. This is a full contact, controlled combat based sport. From your first session you can: Train with LED sporting Light sabers✔Use techniques made for safe competition ✔Free duel from your first class✔Learn from qualified and experienced instructors✔Discover a new way to get and stay active✔Meet some new awesome people✔Our classes are avaialble for signup from the end of your Discovery session, and we start our academic year in September. WHAT TO BRINGThe class is really active and a great workout. Bring clothes suitable for being active. Trainers are mandantory to allow safe movement - leggings, jogging bottoms or shorts, plus a loose, but not overly baggy t-shirt is recommended. Bring along a water bottle to stay hydrated. For safety, please remove all visible jewellery. All sabers and safety equipment are provided. WHAT TO EXPECTWe start with a great warm up and introduction to the sport. We then will give you the skills to handle a light saber with drills and exercises. At the end of the class we put your skills to the test if you'd like, with a duel with your instructor. Our weekly classes are structured similarly, so you'll be learning and building your essential skills throughout the academic year with us. HOW TO DUELWe will give you all the skills to duel in your first session. We train using safe techniques designed to be allow participants to duel for fun without injury. Duelling is optional and cheering from the side of the arena is always appreciated. These classes are aimed at adults and older teenagers. We are not currently running a class for younger students.
