Join an experienced artist at Gang Gang Gallery in Lithgow for the exciting workshop "What a Relief - Lino Block Printing". Under the guidance of Cheryl, a highly skilled artist with over ten years of experience, participants will have the opportunity to create their own stunning images using traditional lino blocks. Throughout the workshop, attendees will learn a variety of techniques, including design transfer, block carving, and printmaking. Cheryl will provide all the necessary materials, including two 15 x 15cm lino blocks, transfer paper, carving tools, Japanese paper for printing, fabric square brayers for applying ink, various inks, and a pin roller. Participants are encouraged to bring their design ideas and art journal, as well as an apron and latex gloves. Cheryl, who graduated with high distinction from Hunter TAFE, has been teaching printmaking at The Makers Studio Central Coast since 2016.
