The Women's Hills Skills - Christmas special is a fantastic event for women residing in West Cumbria. This gathering promises a supportive and enjoyable environment, regardless of your level of expertise. Join this Christmas celebration and short walk with like-minded individuals. The activity will commence with small group morning walks in the beautiful Ennerdale area. Afterward, reconvene at The Gather cafe for a delightful lunch, a hill skills Christmas quiz, and a celebratory toast to our collective achievements since the inception of these walks in April 2022. For added convenience, a minibus with 16 seats will be available at Morrisons in Whitehaven at 09.30am for those seeking transportation. Alternatively, meet outside The Gather cafe in Ennerdale at 10am if you plan to arrive on your own. The event will conclude by 3pm. Remember to bring essential items such as a waterproof jacket (and ideally trousers), warm clothing, a hat, gloves, walking boots (or comfortable/warm wellies), a small rucksack, a drink, a snack, and a map if you have one. Additionally, consider bringing a change of shoes for the cafe. You may bring your own lunch or purchase it at the cafe, so remember to bring cash or a bank card. Safety is of utmost importance, and our qualified and experienced instructors will ensure that high standards are maintained.
