Grounded Futures is proud to present Storyloom: Collaboration— a storyteller's summit, a one-day event happening in Victoria at Paul Phillips Hall on June 22, 2024. This summit is designed for storytellers of all mediums and skill levels to join together in creating, co-learning, and cross-pollinating their dreams and knowings. The focus of the day will be on collaboration, where participants will engage in facilitated workshops and creative stations to craft characters and stories in smaller groups. The event will kick off at 9:30 am with doors opening, followed by various activities until 3:45 pm, including movement jams, making food together, and weaving stories. The summit will provide an inclusive intergenerational space, welcoming kids to join in the activities. Attendees are encouraged to explore different forms of storytelling, from words to visual arts, sound arts, and everything in between. Throughout the day, participants can engage in activities like face painting, character embodiment, and analog creativity stations. A gluten-free, vegetarian lunch will be provided, with accommodations for dietary restrictions available upon request. The event aims to create a space for collaboration, connection, and celebration of stories in all their forms. A donation is requested for admission to support the event.
